Next 3 coaches to keep an eye on are Karl Scott, Charles Huff, and Holmon Wiggins. All have offers elsewhere.

How about offering him a new title and lots more money? We can start a gofundme to help.

Supposedly Texas is going to pay Banks $1.1 mil. That's a tough offer to match or better for a glorified TE coach/recruiter.

Dammit, these are not the kind of coaching rumors I come here for . We need to get those Stoutland COMING HOME-type vibes back, man.

Losing Scott and Huff in addition to Banks would not be cool

I am 75% sure that is the chick I saw with him at heat I mentioned a page or so back

Her account is private, so I can't see more than the profile pic, but it looks pretty close

Before she made it private it was clear she had tickets on the 50 for the game on Monday...

I wonder if Sumlin will be replacing Banks as TE/ST coach? He did that under Stoops at OU. Was he considered a good recruiter?

Alabama position coaches doing what Alabama position coaches do. Using their jobs to get promotions and raises.

I dunno if Sumlin wants that but he was definitely a hot young position coach back at the start of the Stoops era.

Of course, that was 15 years ago.

I mean, would he prefer being an analyst on our staff or an in the field position coach? Saban definitely "talked" to him in Miami earlier this week.

He might prefer being an analyst who sees the big picture and learns the organizational ins and outs than being a position specific coach who is out recruiting all the time and dealing with one specific area.

I'm not saying that's what he wants, but for guys like him on field position coach might not necessarily be more appealing than analyst/observer.

That would be a good move and also co offensive coordinator..It goes without saying UT is responding to the raid we did in Texas this past recruiting cycle...I would think Sumlin helps recruiting in Texas with his past A&M ties. But hate losing both banks and possibility of Huff as well..

I don't know what to make of this. But it feels a bit like the end of an era.

Edit: we aren't done. It's just the end to this particular 3 yr period. With the players and coaches we are losing.

The old joke about Mack Brown's Texas was that it was like a bank with all of the co-hc titles on staff.
