Look for #Eagles OL coach Jeff Stoutland to replace Kyle Flood (off to Texas) as #Alabama’s offensive line coach. Stoutland who was the Tide’s OL coach in 2011-12, and Nick Saban go back a long time.

Great coach! Hopefully he can be a better recruiter than he was during his first stint here.

I'm surprised he isn't sticking to the NFL. It's a great hire if true though. Stoutland is one of the best OL coaches in the country.

OL is the one offensive position that you absolutely can not skimp on when it comes to coaching the actual position. You can get away with having elite recruiters but not so good coaches at positions like TE, RB & WR, but at OL you have to have someone that can teach the position really well.

re: Coaching Changes for Alabama(Analysts edition!!!)
Now this is impressive.

quote:

Eagles offensive line rank under Jeff Stoutland (PFF):
- 2013: 1st
- 2014: 2nd
- 2015: 12th
- 2016: 8th
- 2017: 1st
- 2018: 1st
- 2019: 1st

Despite an absurd 14 different OL combinations in 2020, Eagles OL ranked 15th in pass pro, 17th in run blocking.

I have no idea what goes into those rankings lol, but my god...

Gonna be fun watching him work with all the current and incoming OL talent we have.

really set Bama back on the OL during the 13 and 14 seasons.

Don't undersell the huge dropoff in coaching ability in Cristobal.

He is an elite recruiter, but man even Key was a better position coach...

Hope it comes to fruition, however it could be a lot of speculation on Feldman’s part. Stoutland will get calls from other NFL teams for sure

Now that sucks. We will definitely have to replace him with an elite recruiter. I thought Banks had decided to stay.

I'll give Sark credit, he is putting together one heck of a coaching staff.

Texas is trying desperately to be Alabama West.

I wonder what kind of salary we will offer. I'd be happy with paying him a frickload.

Guessing they came back to Banks with either a strong arse offer, a nice title, or both.

Wonder who Saban will look to now. Not sure we had anyone on the hot list for his replacement.

ETA...that really sucks. He is a great recruiter and will be a huge loss. Dang Sark.

That sucks. Dude is damn good recruiter.

Ran into him once at Heat. Had this absolutely ripped black girl with him. He was drinking Mich Ultras and she was just slamming doubles of straight vodka. He got pretty sloppy, and she didn't seem effected at all
