Robinson has more in comparison with Najee Harris

I think the closest former player comparison for BRob is TRich. He's looking to run guys over.

Brian Robinsons biggest issue last year was he was the number 2 guy. When he came in he would hit the first hole he saw with everything he had. I think being the top guy this year and getting more carries will do a lot for him in being more patient and waiting for the right opportunity rather than trying to prove how good he is the moment he gets the ball.

You're aware BRob ran a 4.41 as a Freshman, right?

This was B-Rob's evaluation coming out of HS from Rivals.
quote:

Performance: Robinson was nothing short of dominant in Atlanta. He's a rare combination of size and speed, and he stood out from the pack from the jump. Not only was Robinson remarkably consistent in drills and one-on-one work, but he flashed tremendous hands and acceleration. A majority of the reps he took were won deep downfield with sharp cuts and devastating breakaway quickness. - Cassidy

I think many of y'all strongly underestimate how fast and quick he is. I'd probably say top-end speed is right there with Najee, with less wiggle and pure athleticism. I also like the Josh Jacobs and Glen Coffee comparisons when it comes to running style. Those guys wanted contact and so will Robinson.

It’s obviously a different system these days but BRob reminds me of a larger Glen Coffee. Hits the hole suddenly and tries to get upfield very quickly. Ohio state was the only upfield spin I can remember which was more reminiscent of Lacy or even Yeldon, but for the most part I get GC vibes when I see BRob

I really don't think we'd be in bad shape if Robinson & Wheaton were the 1-2 punch this year, and the other guys sat the bench.

Does anyone disagree with this?
If so, why?

I disagree. I don't know what you said but because you said it. I disagree.

Your take got 2 upvotes and 18 downvotes.

Why? Because it was idiotic, as usual.

Safe assumption. If he said the sun rises in the East I'd get up early tomorrow morning just to make sure I haven't been wrong all these years.

That's what I thought. You disagree because I said it, not because I'm wrong.

I was also the one who broke the story about Jalen Milroe WEEKS ago. Then Boz confirmed that Milroe was beating out Tyson just the other day.

I AM THE KING. I know everything.

Everything I say is right. People just hate HOW I say it.

By "broke the story" you mean you saw a weightlifting video, some conjecture about his summer workouts as well as his 40 speed, and extrapolated that into a not-even-that-hot of a take that he could beat out Tyson for 2nd string? Potentially BY if he "looks shaky" early on?

That's the story you "broke?"

Yeah ESPN needs to get your arse on payroll ASAP. You got the REAL insider info lol

The weak troll game is disrupting, why don't we just ban and move on?

I don't think it's possible at this moment to say who the feature backs will be. Robinson has the inside track to be the starter, but that's not guaranteed.

Some of the variables:
- How healthy will Trey Sanders be?
- Can Jase McClellan build on his successful work in limited duty last year?
- Similarly, can Roydell Williams continue to improve?
- How will Camar Wheaton react to college vs. high school competition?

Because of that, I don't think it makes sense to automatically say "A and B are our best options, and none of the others should see significant minutes." I'm betting we see a significant rotation of backs early in the season before we settle on the top 2 (or maybe even 3).

I'm still trying to figure out why the son of a bitch hasn't been banned. He talks a lot of shite on this board.
