Hell yeah. It was very noticeable.

My assumptions about @MikeBlackSports were so wrong.

Hope he loses that mustache. But if he doesn't, whatever, as long as he is a great hire.

edit: you guys like the mustache?! I mean, I guess I don't hate it per see, it just looks kind of goofy.

They key to replacing Cochran is the motivational/player relationship element. All these dudes know how to get guys strong and fit—gotta check the other boxes. Feld intrigues me for sure.

Not sure the bolded is entirely true, or, at least, it seems kind of rare to find a guy that can really optimize players' explosiveness and functional strength. And it would be nice to really be on the cutting edge in that regard. All props due to Cochran - he's absolutely been a key piece of the program's rise and continued success - but I don't get the impression that even he was on that level, at least recently.

If we can't land Feld, there is always Ponytail.

Dropping in to let you guys know that it seems like Feld will be your hire.

He was great when he was an assistant here at Georgia. Players loved him and he is also on the cutting edge of the technical side of modern S&C. One of the best in the biz, IMO, and would be a great hire for you guys.

Honestly, would love this hire. Congrats on Cochran, I think he will be one hell of a recruiter. Can’t fault the guy for wanting to be a position coach.

Aaron Feld would be a great hire and the interest is there on his part. ;)

I finally might know a coach..lol When I graduate from Bama I decided to Pursue a masters in exercise science from MSU. (What else is a scout team player to do..lol) I was one of the Grad assistant strength coaches for MSU when Feld played. Great guy and work ethic..he is fun but means business too. Pure gym rat. I really hope it’s him.

Just an FYI, Feld has two older brothers who are UA graduates. Would love to see him hired. He should have gotten a scholarship offer from Shula when he was in high school.

It has apparently been noted that there is the possibility Oregon was removed months ago.

I honestly don’t see Feld as a drop off from Cochran. The Oregon team this last season looked like a SEC team in the PAC 12... Those guys are going to be hell as long as Cristobal is there.

From the outside it seems like about as good a follow-up to Cochran as could be hoped for. Of course, the biggest thing is whether the replacement can convey Saban's message when Saban isn't there and be the ying to Saban's yang. Cochran was the GOAT at that. Big shoes to fill.
