Fingers crossed. Alabama residents would love nothing more for Louisiana residents to stop coming to our beaches with their LSU tents blocking everything.

The collective Short Man Syndrome of the LSU fanbase is pretty incredible. They truly believe that they are the "biggest brand in college sports" and that the SEC needs them more than they need the SEC, and this feeling apparently extends all the way to the very top of their university and their state. Playing chicken with the other 15 schools in the conference is incredibly stupid and short-sighted, and if it were Alabama doing this I'd be appalled, and yet they egg themselves on. I don't know what their administration has been doing behind the scenes to piss the rest of the league off this badly but my guess is that Will Wade is the real driving force behind this situation, and Kiffin's actions are simply what finally forced the conference's hand.

There are no adults running the show down there from the coach to the governor. Its like a mass psychosis event.

They really believe their local courts can dictate to the conference whatever they want up to and including whether they get to remain. Its really bizarre and delusional. They're convinced they can just sue the SEC into oblivion and because Judge Boudroux says so its all going to check out on appeal.

Regardless of whether this issue goes away I'm not sure they're stable partners for the conference moving forward.

At this point it's beyond LSU. This is the SEC saying once and for all "You aren't forced to be here. You choose to be here. And if you don't like the rules we as a collective group voted on there's the door."

IMO The vote will happen regardless because the SEC wants to prove a point. Now do I think LSU will be expelled? No. They will say whatever the SEC wants them to say to stay a member, maybe pay a fine or serve some sort os suspension. But the precedent will be set.

Neither do the people in charge of the other 15 member institutions, which is what the troglodytes over on the Rant just don't seem to grasp. You've torched your reputation as a reliable partner for what exactly? To feel like you've rubbed someone's nose in it? To get to run your mouths on social media?

They're essentially saying if we (the SEC) make a rule we (LSU alone) ever find inconvenient down the line we'll get some coonass judge schooled in our bass ackwards legal system to change it and we'll make you deal with it. No one wants to put up with that shite.

They were threatening massive lawsuits if the SEC booted them even after I outlined the exact language that would allow the conference to kick out any member without specific criteria for what the reasons would need to be.

It reminds me of the old ads for Office Depot where they had the “easy button”. “We’ll just sue you STTDB!”

In their mind anything they don’t like just needs a lawsuit in a local court and what the contract or the rest of the schools and states want just become null and void without any awareness that allowing that to occur would just guarantee the rest of the schools would follow suit.

If they were a woman I’d call them borderline undateable right now regardless of how pretty she seemed across the bar.

LsU fans are the absolute most delusional fan base in the country and it’s not close. They hired a narcissistic sociopath…and deserve everything coming to them. Whatever that is…

Didn’t he pass away a while back or something? Or was that someone else?

His wife did in 2020.

There was a huge GoFundMe created here then people started digging into his past.

You can see his thread history where he said he was doing better.

He just hasn't posted before this week in almost 2 years.

If Lane solicited the kids to sue then he should not be allowed to coach in the sec at the very least and probably ncaa. Now proving that he actually did it I imagine will be next to impossible. But it should be very easy to prove a representative of lsu did. If that’s the case you expell them. Any coach/institution that would behave in that manner doesn’t belong in college football

They vacillate between we dindunuffin to whataboutism effortlessly instead of taking a hard look in the mirror as to why the conference is coming down on them. Thye have a victim' complex that dwarfs Auburn's.They actually think they won a huge victory so STTDB.

I agree with everything said about LSU fans thus far. They’ve had a chip on their shoulder for years and they’ve been really insecure since Saban arrived in Tuscaloosa.

That said, I think this has galvanized their team/fans and it will give them an edge that they haven’t had in quite some time. We saw this same thing with Auburn 2010, Michigan 2023, etc. Only basing this theory off of one game obviously.

Not sure what penalties the SEC will hand down. You can’t toss around LOIC, flirt with expulsion, and then just walk away. They won’t get any kind of postseason ban, a fine won’t affect them, and suspending Kiffin for a few games will just make him a martyr in their eyes. They’d probably get a boost in NIL over it. So unless the SEC is going to get into the scholarship reduction business, then not really sure what direction the SEC will go.

I agree with that.......they have developed this "everyone hates us, the world is out to get us, STTDB defiance". Too early to judge and a lot of ball to be played, but that date we have them in November is going to be a dog fight. You know Kiffin has it circled. It will be the most hostile environment DeBoar has ever seen so I hope he understands what he is walking into.
