The spring looks to be the best option with a shorten season and still no fans.

We should have a vaccine by next spring (I'm hearing January) or at least some solid treatment options that make it less threatening. If we wait until the spring, they better allow at least 50% fan capacity. If it's just fan-less football on TV, we might as well play it this fall. Test players and coaches and then tee it up!

Won’t have football this fall. Maybe NFL. Easier to justify playing when guys are making millions. No college and certainly no high school.

We're stuck with this shite until there's a reliable vaccine

Look... we've got 3 choices.

1. Stay away from people whenever possible (no bars, no parties, no family cookouts).

2. Wear a mask whenever we go anywhere around people, especially indoors.

3. Do whatever we want and suffer the consequences.

It's really that simple. We're not "shutting down" anymore.

At some point, people are gonna have to accept that everyone is going to have to share a sacrifice if we want any kind of football this Fall.

I don't like it. I hate it. It sucks. But it is what it is.

This season was never going to happen. There are too many what-ifs.

I'd feel so bad for Mac if there was no 2020 season. If there's no football until 2021 I just can't imagine a world where he's starting over Bryce Young.

I hope if there’s no football this fall that they at least do a shorter season in the spring. February-April would be fine. Hopefully we can somehow get past this dumba$$ virus between now and then.

Regardless of increased testing, case numbers aren’t going away
No way a season will be held

Frankly with all the SJW political bullshite that permeates everything right now I honestly don't care if we have one or not at this point.

Bad things are happening. First the Ivy League cancels all sports until 2021 then Nicole Aurbach of The Athletic tweets that the B1G is about to announce a conference only season according to a person with direct knowledge of the situation.

Completely agree. I could be wrong, of course, but I just think there are too many logistical nightmares and unknowns that make playing college football this fall impracticable.

The "conference only" domino is falling now. Delay in the season is probably next, and full on cancellation after that.

There are very few colleges that can afford not to have a season in some capacity. Those TV contracts are too important.

Texas, Texas A&M, Oregon, Oklahoma St and maybe Notre Dame might can do ok with the big time donations they receive.

Look at the financial shape LSU is in, no money from football would hurt them big time.

The loss of money will cripple a bunch of schools. It’s a damned if you do, damned if you don’t scenario. Don’t play, you put yourself in a financial bind, play and you get accused of putting money in front of the well being of your student athletes.

I mentioned this a few weeks ago that the ACC was already looking at this.

If there is no football this year, has does that effect everything else?

Can schools still afford to keep 85 kids on scholarship with no income coming in?

If they can't, what happens to the kids who can't afford the tuition?

Does every scholarship athlete lose their scholarship since football money pays for all of them?

How can schools pay the coaching salaries with no income coming in?

I think they push everything out to 2021 hoping and praying a vaccine or treatment is found. Football and basketball simultaneously in the spring, baseball and softball on their normal timelines. It’s the only way college athletics can survive financially without another trillion doled out from the US Treasury

We have 110 people under one roof at work and we haven’t missed a day during this EPIDEMIC. We didn’t reduce our hours or days. We actually up the hours to 10 per day. Are we just lucky?
