Seems like there is some further push to not have a season or reduced. Thoughts?

It will certainly be heavily reduced.

I thought there would be for sure 4 weeks ago - but man......I dunno.

They'll do something because they have to or college athletics is fvcked, but I wouldn't be shocked if it's very different (less games, more forfeits, ends early, no championship games).

There will be a season because it won't be just college athletics that is devastated. It will be the economies of all the campus towns too.

Outdoor stadiums, probably temp checks to get in, tickets with names and assigned seats, stuff like that but there will be a season.

I put the chances of any season at less than 5%.

I say yes, but it won’t start until the spring semester.

I wonder if they'll implement something with the new discovery that UV light kills the virus... Think we can get the new lights to blast the stadium with UV rays every so often?

I don’t see a season happening.

Full regular season happens, no fans in the stands though.

No championship games, bowls or playoffs.

They will determine the SEC Champion by best record. National Champion will be determined by the polls again.

They’ll try a reduced season but I think that’ll end up being cancelled half way through

Who in the hell knows anymore. The entire thing is just one enormous shite show. Went from flatten the curve to eliminate the curve. It's not possible.

Not in the fall.

And there won't be classes on campus.

I was pretty optimistic a couple weeks ago but now not so much. I think the best we can hope for is a full season with no fans in the stands.

We'll be lucky if there's ever a season again.

At the moment, I’m saying no season

It will be too many different states with different criteria for everything, and college football will not be able to do any more than whatever the most restrictive state will be doing.
State of Michigan locked down? What can the B1G do missing two teams?
If the B1G can’t play, neither will the others

Everybody wants the season to happen and everyone knows the season needs to happen. But there's this little problem that the virus doesn't give a shite and is dictating terms to everyone right now.

The curve was getting flattened until they started moving towards the "eliminate" stuff and then people understandably got frustrated and said to hell with it. So instead of eliminating it (which wasn't possible) we also stopped flattening the curve so to speak because people, who were mostly cooperating with requests from government, decided that they were done with all that.

So now the trends aren't getting better and it's gonna be a much harder sell.

What things I was told at best for the fall would be season start late and no fans in the stands and post season games including bowls or playoffs.

More likely spring season the target for all sports.

I was also told if the season did not happen players would not lose eligibility either. That would not prevent players like Waddle jumping to the draft since a player only needs to be at least three years removed from high school not play for 3 years.
