It’s all gone. He has sucked this year. His philosophy on defense just doesn’t fricking work in the SEC

He’s bad but DeBoer is worse, his soft approach is worse in this league. An overhaul is needed.

To be fair... Grubb's offense put our defense on the field way too much

Even if the defense is good, it's still hard to win 10-9 and 17-14 in today's era.

If we can't hold the ball on offense for long, the defense is going to get worn down.

Yeah Kane is interesting. He doesn't give up that many points, but allows the other team to absolutely chew the clock. Never forces many punts but never gives up big plays.

Like others have said hard to win when the offense does nothing. But we do get limited possessions with the current defensive philosophy.

Believe Kane moves on in the off season. So guess we will find out

In this game I can’t give him total heat. The defense was gassed. It’s just science.

We dont have 12 All SEC caliber interior linemen like we did when Saban was here. (Saban wouldn't either in today's NIL game) Today 3 of our best players were absent. Not the same team that played against Kentucky.

His defense gives up too many yards and manageable 3rd downs, 3 and outs at virtually nonexistent in his scheme unless the offense has penalties. The other team controls the clock easily against his defense, I hate to watch it.

The offense had four turnovers. They had under 150 yards before Tennessee started conceding the underneath routes to bleed the clock in the last two minutes.

There are times when the defense looked weak, but this is overwhelmingly on the offense, i.e. on DeBoer and Grubb.

The defense is pretty good but just can’t get off the field way too often.Teams have figured how to beat us. It’s gonna get worse, IMO.

I can’t judge the defense at this moment. Kane has passion. Unit doesn’t give up many points. But this goofy worthless fricking head coach and his arse buddy Grubb keep frickING THIS DEFENSE OVER AND OVER AND OVER. ZERO sustained drives. Dumb arse penalties. Short fields. They’d probably be elite if they weren’t constantly fricked by a PAC 12 offense. For now this ain’t on Kane. In fact, fire DeBoer and let Kane take over and maybe the whole team will play with passion. I truly have never had this much hate for a coach.

Kane is an OK defensive coordinator. It’s not great defense but it’s hard to put any blame on him when the offense is pure shite.

I don’t know a DC that could have done much better given the situations our offense put them in all game. Yes the last 8 minute drive sucked, but our defense was gassed. Bishop was falling forward three yards after contact. How is that on Wommack?

He makes no adjustments apparently. Got cornerbacks lining up 8-10 yards off the ball when Tennessee’s only passing threat was wide receiver screens and slants.

When Tennessee has a young QB like we do, you do what Tennessee did and make them beat you with quick passes. Wommack sends 3-4 most downs at most.

Our offense barely scraped by 200 yards. Only kept the ball 25 minutes. Seven of our 10 points came off a muffed punt.

Nothing about this loss is Wommack’s fault.

Ok so we lose 19-10 instead of 26 to 10?

Are we expecting to win a 10-7 type game? The offense gave them at least 9.

Not with me. He's a good coordinator. Is he the best coordinator Alabama has ever had? No, but he does his job. He limits scoring.

The problem is that we don't have an offense that can put 21 points and 27 points on back to back elite defenses.

The DC is earning his paycheck. The OC, HC and QB are not.

I didn’t say the offense was any better. Both coordinators were terrible today. Grubb sets up every passing play to be a shot play when we only need 3-5 yards. Wommack has our secondary playing soft coverage every down when we know Tennessee is a run-first offense with a green QB.
