One NFL assistant coach is calling out Colorado star QB Shedeur Sanders prior to the NFL Draft...
quote:

His college tape looked like Caleb Williams without the elite physical arm talent," an NFC coordinator said. "I'm sorry: You can't play that game at this level.

The character stuff is also something that factors. From what I've seen at East-West Shrine and combine, there's definitely some entitlement and special treatment that he expects. There might be some growth with that.

You can't have your dad saying, 'I'm going to come put a quarterback coach on blast who said you were arrogant.' So, he can't be criticized?
But also...
quote:

"He's got ability to throw to all three levels. He's good on the ball-out, quick passing game. Can move around. Tough as all get out. He'll take hits and just hop up and it doesn't really faze him. That's impressive.

"If you look at just 'wow' throws, he's got probably the best collection of those over the whole entire crop,"

Coach is honest and right on the money. Sanders is an entitled brat.

Saints’ assistant coach talking him down to ensure he’s available when it’s their pick. 3-D chess!!!

He’s absolute garbage… If his name was something other than Sanders, he’d be at a division three school. Not to mention the fact that I’ve talked to a couple of students who go to Colorado and said he’s an arse. Full of himself and entitlement. I can only pray the Saints don’t draft this clown.

Why speak from anonymity? Anyways all of these stupid takes and none of you will ever own what you said when the guy turns out to be a winner. You guys said even worse about Jalen Hurts and he's been to two superbowls and won one.

Hell no stay far away. No QB in this class seems that great honestly. If Nuss had come out he would be QB1 or QB2.

Most of those “WOW” throws will be intercepted in the NFL.

He might be able to play in the NFL, but who would want the baggage his father brings?

So happy Deion won't have any kids in college and hoping he's out of CFB soon, also. His kids are a spitting image of him - a walking garbage bag that's not nearly as good as he thinks!

But Deion was legit as a player.

All that was obvious from day 1, if his dad wasn’t Deion….its a super weak draft for QBs… he would be a very late round flyer based on talent/attitude. It’s like most of CFB now way overpaid for mediocre effort/talent as the kids have all the power at the moment. That’s doesn’t hold in the NFL. If he does go high he will get crushed on the field.

This call out couldn't have happened to a better father/son combo.

They do this in hopes that it makes him drop a few picks. Wouldn’t be surprised if this was a coach whose team is in the 7-13 range

Mission accomplished?

I know CU was trash before Prime and SS, but they brought in a ton of transfer talent and they played a garbage schedule and still were barely .500. That’s all you need to know. 1st Rd QBs should be able to lift you team up. This kids wasn’t able to do that. I can’t see him being anything more than a spectacle.
