for sure dispensationalism is the most accurate. The nation of Israel was a preview/foreshadowing of the church. however, God Almighty had and has a specific purpose for Israel. He stated and determined they would achieve a certain thing. they achieved some of that purpose. The are called God Chosen people. that means they were chosen to do something. they have not do enough of that purpose for God Almighty to say they have completed it. Therefore, the 144,000 Jews of Revelation will be the completion have that purpose. Christ absolutely cannot and will not return until Israel complete what God chose for them to do. And only He knows what qualifies them as having done so.
