I fell asleep before I could ask what it was.

I think it was Propofol, Michael Jackson’s sleep medication.

No one has mentioned that they shave you.

Wipes at a minimum. Definitely not paper.

I bought some clear Gatorade to help with the prep and it ended up being close to the sickly sweet cherry flavor of the prep.

The procedure was no big deal. I remember drifting into a level of consciousness where I heard the doc talking to a nurse about a restaurant they wanted to try.
Cellos as an investment? Certainly not an instrument I’ve considered although those are beautiful. I might invest in a violin if Hillary Hahn is part of the deal.

I’m open to bonds or whatever investment gives a guaranteed rate of return. Another poster said to get a CD with 4% interest. That’s not bad considering the best rate I’ve seen from the institutions I bank with is closer to 3%.

I thought the board might know a couple of places where the rates for CDs, money markets, etc are above market or have other options.
I’m looking for a place to put $20-$30k for anytime up to 2 years. Some sort of deposit account; no stocks or similar. CD rates I’ve seen are low and I’d like to do better, if possible. What other instruments are out there?
I worked with a guy from Jordan who was a Muslim. Work involved a lot of travel and you often ate at least 2 meals a day with teammates. The Jordanian loved ribs. He said at first he thought ribs were from cattle and he ate them several times before someone told him they were pork ribs. He couldn’t stop though because he thought they were so good.

Stalked and attempted murder by roommate

I still remember the scene where the psycho stalker tried to make herself look like Kelly and stood in front of the bathroom mirror saying “I’m Kelly Taylor.”

The series followed a formula pretty consistently; a character started showing signs of some problem as a minor storyline in one episode, the problem became the focus of the next episode, and was resolved in the episode after that.

I always felt sorry for the actor who was David’s best friend in the first few episodes. I guess they decided to cut him in real life so his character went to spend the summer with family in OK. He came back a few episodes later a total gun nut and (I think) ended up shooting himself.

I do remember one guy voting alphabetically all season. Very little strategy going on except for Richard.

Ironically, the player who voted alphabetically was a literal brain surgeon from Manhattan whose name escapes me.

I remember reading a very short story about Survivor before it aired and I told my ex I would recruit a group of people and vote out everyone. The story emphasized the survival aspect of the game.

I kinda wish Cirie won the challenge last night just to watch her refuse to get out of her hammock and walk to the other camp.

I’m going to demand reparations if we’ve been subjected to one big experiment.

BUT THESE PLAYERS NEED TO SHUT THE frick U

That goes for Jeff at TC last night too. He asked Ozzy too many questions about trusting his gut, getting burned in the past, etc. Even though Jeff doesn’t know how the votes will go down, he could influence people to rethink their plans and convince a player like Ozzy to play his idol.

a 4th place schedule

The Saints’ schedule this season is almost the weakest in the league and they could probably improve on the number of wins if they had the same roster as last season.

But the roster has improved and it’s almost a certainty the win total will go up. But are the Saints in a “be careful what you wish for” scenario? Perform well enough in the regular season to impact your draft picks and 2027 schedule but have no real shot at going anywhere in the playoffs? Eight wins and the Saints can have another legitimate shot at loading the team and having an average rated 2027 schedule and then have a better chance of winning some playoff games.

Devens going scorched earth was great, don’t think I’ve seen anyone do that before. Man has some balls, that’s for sure.

Devens has been successful leveraging his reputation of playing aggressively, almost recklessly. He might not have won the $1 million in the past but he makes money from his gameplay. Whether he won the flip or not, he’ll have even bigger audiences and revenue as a result. His play style is a hedge against not winning.
They’ve added “stop bleeding” kits on streets in pedestrian shopping areas in several English cities. The kits are what a medic would carry to stop the bleeding of battle wounds. The kits are attached to posts like where you'd see an emergency call box.

I rode a train in Germany in the late 1980’s and shared a compartment with a German family. The pre-teen granddaughter was reading a tabloid type of magazine about Michael Jackson. I remember looking at the grandfather and thinking “suck it, Nazi.”

re: Nuss best QB available

Posted by BobABooey on 4/25/26 at 11:52 am to
It seems logical the cyst would become a problem with increase in the amount of practice time and game play. If Nuss gets drafted, it would be as a backup. When he was needed most to fill in for the starter QB, the risk of the cyst pain coming back goes way up. Just when a team needs Nuss to fill in for a few weeks, he has to get an operation and recover at the same time the starting QB is recovering. Then what?

If you were an NFL GM and your job could be on the line, you wouldn’t draft Nuss.
