I worked in intercollegiate athletics and this is normal. That is all he can write which is sad because he was never taught the proper penmanship in grade school. Nothing to make jokes about for sure. He will sign JS on NFL checks, home and automobiles and will make more than most could ever put in a checking account in a lifetime. Remember what Mack said in the movie "The Program" all they care about is that you sign that NFL contract.......period!

That Used-to-be called simply "making your mark" back in the day and was used mostly by people who couldn't read nor write or either complete dumbarses. Which one still applies is anyone's guess.
