Jacques Doucet caught up with LSU star freshman Derek Curiel after the Tigers won the National Championship on Sunday to discuss the NCAA's decision only to play the instrumental version of his walkup song at the College World Series.

Later in the day, Doucet said the lyrics were removed "because of the artist (Kanye West), not because of its Christian genre or content," according to an LSU source.

Since no one had the sense to tell. The name of the song is “God Is”. Check out the lyrics. I think the NCAA is picking a fight they don’t want. I hope more athletes will choose songs like this.

I bet most people in the stadium would not even know (or care) about Kanye being the artist for Derek's walk-up song.

Great call by the NCAA, Kanye has become vile and toxic with his songs and hateful lyrics

Yall know it’s cuz Kanye is crazy right? Smart policy for any organization or person is to not associate yourself with Kanye.

Wait, Christians are now claiming Kanye as one of their own? It is no wonder that anyone with an IQ over 85 doesn't take their primitive mythology seriously. Way to go Sky Screamers.....now fall down to your prayer mats and face Israel.....where your thinking orders come from!

Good luck with your own primitive mythology, dude. As for the song, as long as thr lyrics are positive it shouldn't matter who's singing. It isn't pro-Kanye, it's pro-Jesus.

Oh no! The Christians are being thrown to the lions because somebody did something and didn't play a 'role model' Kanye West song. IQ 85 laughs at you.

Nobody said that lol? You’re using hyperbole to make a really shitty point.
