Several unconfirmed rumors swirled around the internet this afternoon that LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier suffered a significant injury during the Tigers' closed practice on Wednesday.

According to reports from the media, Nussmeier "did not suffer a major injury today" and is going to be ok.

LSU fans can breathe a sigh of relief now...

reportedly he got rolled up on by Pyburn towards the end of the scrimmage Tuesday. Not sure why it wasn’t no contact or just a mistake. But he played after that. I can only assume that was where the rumor started?

It was not contact. Getting rolled up on is the very definition of an accident and a violation of the no-contact scenario. When it is no contact, guys still go full speed; they just pull up before hitting the QB and grab or touch him to end the play.
