I mean, can we step back as a fan base and acknowledge that LSU is 2–5 in the last seven games in Oxford? We have struggled for whatever reason.

By and large, our defense did a solid job against Ole Miss last year. If we could have put some offense together in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, I think we win.
Both are true - I think Ole Miss made a good hire with John David Baker at OC, he will be able to keep the uptempo offense going, but he's not Lane Kiffin. Baker on Baker (their O vs our D) is where this game will be won or lost, and I will take our Baker in year 3 with a returning Whit Weeks over their Baker in year 1. LSU 28 Ole Miss 17
they sound like idiots

Did you know that after the touchdown he also kicked the extra point
He also took the entire team out to dinner to celebrate that night. Paid with 100's. Nice guy

Check back with me after 4 years of bama with 5 wins per year

thanks for posting good video

we started the game on a 17-3 run.
They way that GT team shot the three that night we could have been up by 30 and they would have come back to beat us. That team was really good, and even so the UNLV team that won it all was unbelievable.

I'd love to see a Lane team do the same thing (of course it will have Offense) with a signature Defense
This defense has a legit shot to be special. Blake Baker comes back, which is the biggest thing.
Up front we're deep, talented and should have a scary pass rush. In the middle we got the two top tacklers in the SEC from last year, and in the backfield we got a lockdown corner and a freak at safety.

What's the expectation in the Bayou with this and Ed back onboard?
I expect we will be playing our backups sometime in the second half when we play Alabama and their freshman QB in Tiger stadium

If we’re able to run the football, this may be our best offense since 2019.
If that D line rounds into shape, this may be our best defense since Les Miles

I would say you need to be a big successful program with no competition in state. Prior NC, program history, and of course lots of $. LSU stands out for all of those reasons. Others I would put in the top 5
Ohio State
Georgia
Michigan
Oregon
Oklahoma
Bama is clearly on the path to join Nebraska in ignominy

If history is an indicator, LSU will be competing for a playoff spot.
Lane pretty much rebuilt his teams at Ole Miss each of the last three seasons relying almost exclusively on the portal.
Last year I was stunned to see how good Texas Tech got in one year, especially on defense. All transfers. LSU can absolutely do the same, and as stated above Kiffin the just the guy to do it. He knows the portal, knows how to get mature guys to work together.
Kiffins biggest weakness is a lack of passion for defense, but retaining Blake Baker and Whit Weeks was huge for this team. We could be in for a special season guys
