The theme/key for Schmidt is to settle in and make it out of the first inning or 2. Seems to settle in after but gotta get him locked in early.
The men’s time is as bad as a fast break run through quicksand… with ankle weights… and a broken compass
Looking forward to watching something LSU related before the baseball season kicks off here in less than 2 weeks. Geaux Tigahs!
They all do now a days, and yes, Todd Peterson definitely comes to mind lol
It’s cold, it’s early, and he knows pitchers now a days are checking the scoreboard to see their velos. Arm injuries are common in colder weather and that’s the last thing he needs is his guys overthrowing and hurting themselves before the season begins
Can’t wait to hear him break out the one liner’s for the first cold midweek game: “it’s colder than a screen door on a submarine in January.”
I know it was cold and still early on but what were the pitching velos today?

ETA: I just read they weren’t showing velos today. Makes sense with the cold, don’t want guys overthrowing right now during the elements

Lot of strike outs today. Are they starting on a 1-1 count or they playing it live 0-0.

Rice starting pitcher was the example for top of the scale? Did we forget we witnessed Paul Skenes looking like a mythical god in 2023? Skenes is the absolute top of the scale standard.

How’s our arms looking so far?

Who’s been impressing so far? Who’s been disappointing early?

From the looks of it, Moore and Guidry have looked good.

Schmidt had a disappointing outing.

Look forward to the discussion.
I literally just made a thread right before this lol
I think curiel’s power number take a significant jump. He’s put on good weight this off season with an already unreal swing. I could see him hitting 14-18 homers hitting over .360 and making him a top 5 pick in the draft. Jake brown will hit more than 6..

I’m expecting 120+ this year
While the portal talk is taking place and we’re discussing the future, I would like to change pace and talk about this upcoming baseball season. I’m familiar with some of the new faces in the lineup but don’t know very much about the new pitchers. Who are some of our top gets so far and what are we projecting as our weekend rotation and high leverage arms?

Going off of last year, assuming:

Friday night guy: Evans
Saturday: Schmidt
Sunday: new arm or Cowan

High leverage: Williams, Cowan, Rizy, Guidry.

Love to see what you guys have seen so far and look forward to this upcoming season!
It had way more to do with the offensive scheme and OL play than anything else.

Offensive Line Portal concerns

Are we thinking the reason for the transferring of the OL is more so lane giving them the ultimatum or them thinking they won’t be successful in Lanes system?
9:15 for me. Just worked a 16 hour day. Plan to have a night cap and see where it takes me. If we look uninspired and terrible, I’ll watch til half. If it looks interesting, I’ll fight exhaustion and stay up. Honestly just ready for next year and the off season to start!
It was a troll post to get a reaction by guys like you who don’t understand the internet very well
