Explanation for “Piped-In Music”

Posted by Tigerbait8 on 8/10/26 at 10:23 pm
I’ve attended 4 LSU home games since 2003, lastly attended the MSU game in 2022, Kelly’s first SEC game, so I haven’t attended enough games to understand the board’s complaints about “piped-in music.”

What exactly is “piped in music?”
-does it literally sound like ”piped in,” as in bad sound quality/cheap sound equipment?
-is this a reference to playlist that is usually selected by the players?
-or is it the stadium music is over played throughout the game?
-Lastly, is this a new college football problem across every NCAA venue or is this only an issue in Tiger stadium?

Just wanted some clarification since I see it complained about often during football season year in and year out.

Longest month of the year.
Gonna have to stream it through espn app most likely. Good luck finding a bar or restaurant that’ll show the “LSU vs La Tech” game while Texas/OSU, Iowa/Iowa State and Tennessee/GT are all on during that time slot

ETA: make sure you try a fried pork tenderloin sandwich while you’re out there. Phenomenal.
Had to be Miss state guy that said this
-Masson smith (although got drafted pretty high)
-Dom McKinley seems to fit that trend now
-Chris Hilton
-Sage Ryan (5 star)
-Solomon Thomas
-Kardell “Mr. pancake” thomas

Isn’t Jayce Brown supposed to be our best receiver? Why would you anticipate him being 2nd string?

Also, I thought McKinley was our best interior defensive lineman? 3rd string? I’ve been busy the last few weeks so haven’t heard what has happened there. Thought he was going to be the guy there this year.
Don’t stay in a hotel, find a rental like an Airbnb or VRBO near the campus such as the garden district. Much cheaper during football season and great if you bring any friends or family. Think we spent maybe $250 for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay.

Went to Louie’s Cafe for breakfast on game day, tailgated at “under the oaks,” I believe it was called.

Pre game: gotta go visit Mike the Tiger’s habitat and watch the Tiger walk down victory hill.

ETA: this is must to get the full experience: gotta sit in the bowl and not the nosebleeds to get the full experience. It’ll be expensive but it’s an experience like no other, especially if it’s a close game late.
Might be an unpopular opinion on the rant but I’ve always been a big fan of unnecessary roughness, which just ended. Brandon walker started his new podcast called the Brandon walker show which started back up today. Had a good debate with Josh pate today. I’ll probably listen to that along with Locked on LSU and Mik’d up with Mikey mahtook, Jared Mitchell.

Baltimore double A is in Bowie, MD. Ironically, I used to live there and went and watched Rutschman play there before getting called up later that season.

ETA: I see they’ve recently rebranded and relocated.
My biggest concern is the lack of depth at CB. That was the only position that we did not get what we needed. Outside of the 2 starters, the remaining guys have zero experience and there are only 6 on scholarship
I’ve been listening to him and cousin Shane with “That SEC Podcast” since their launch about 7 years ago and it’s always been something I listen to get through the offseason. Loved it when it first came out because it was genuinely 2 fans just talking ball. Now, ever since Mike has started to become publicly known, I feel like he has changed his tune into making everything controversial to get more clicks and engagement towards his content. All of his polls are rage bait worthy and cringy for the most part.. but with all of that said, I still listen to their podcasts on my drives every day because there’s really no one who covers SEC football like they do, with the exception of the podcast SECunfiltered, that I recently have found. TLDR: don’t take his hot takes seriously; it’s rage bait for engagement.
$40-50m roster or not, it’s unrealistic to expect a natty with a new administration, new roster, new coaches, new scheme, new culture, etc. If this was year 3 and we had a $40-50m roster, I’m expecting a natty.

The media and rival fanbases have placed an unrealistic expectation for LSU this year, primarily due to the animosity of the coach and how he left his last school for a better opportunity, knowing that there’s <1% chance that he will win big year 1.

With that said, anything below 10-2 and I’ll be disappointed but I’m expecting anywhere from 8-4 to 10-2 with this schedule, uncertainty of the health of our QB, and it being year 1 with the goal in mind making a playoff appearance.

You’ll need a telescope from those seats to see the actual game

Not sure how you can say Sark
isn’t the guy when all they’ve done is win 10+ games with him. Look back at how irrelevant they were between him and Mack Brown. They will be really good this year.
Real question, I thought he’d be our main guy last year with Gooden. Who was getting more reps than him?
Feels like Maason smith 2.0. Doesn’t really produce at the college level but talent alone will get him to a 2nd round pick in the draft.

Hope he’s in shape and healthy to tap into that potential this year
As much as we love baseball, there’s not really a high demand for it. Best bet, follow twitter accounts and summer team pages
Yep, tanks first ab 1-2 swinging bunt to the pitcher, made a great play. Got his feet wet at least
Outside of QB, CB’s will be at the top of the list. We are dangerously thin there. Outside of the top 3, everyone else is a freshman or no experience. Really is my biggest concern and what could hold us back this year if those guys go down.
