An arrest warrant has been issued for LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy for negligent homicide and felony hit-and-run during a deadly December car crash. Per WAFB:
quote:

Lacy is wanted on charges of negligent homicide and felony hit-and-run following a December 17, 2024 traffic crash that killed a former Marine and injured two others, Louisiana State Police said.

Louisiana State Police say they are “in communication with Lacy and his legal representation to turn himself in.”

After allegedly causing the crash, investigators allege Lacy sped from the scene and did not report his involvement to police.

Lacy, 24, of native of Thibodaux, Louisiana is also wanted on a charge of reckless operation of a vehicle, documents show.
Lacy played his final game at LSU vs. Oklahoma on November 30. He declared for the NFL Draft on December 19 and did not practice or play in the Texas Bowl against Baylor on December 31.

The fatal accident took place on December 17.

Good. A heavy price should be paid when your actions result in someone’s death.

@ ghost: without proof he actually did it? will be hard to prove he was behind the wheel since he didn't stop and I'm sure the windows were blacked out. all they have is it was his car.

Not gonna lie, when I read the initial headline I was 100% expecting it to be gun related over something stupid. Not that this is any better. Enjoy running routes with Ruggs.

Lacy is 24? Regardless, prayers to the family and thank you to the Marine for his service.

Doubtful. He was projected as a low pick before, so this probably ends that pipe dream.

Takes a real piece of shite to cause an accident and run away like a little bitch. If it’s true I hope he pays a steep price with his freedom and never sets foot on a football field again.

If he was drunk. I mean good move on his part. Means 30 years if he stays or probation. I am not trying to sound like I am on his side.

So sad, but part of this falls on the shoulders of our society. These kids from a young age are allowed to get away with everything and are put on a pedestal where they feel like they can't be touched. Now players are making millions and are even more out of touch with reality. If someone truly investigated all the players on every college sports team, you would be shocked at the number of players that have criminal records, but are given special treatment because they can help a school win some games! The way he carried himself, you could tell he was a thug!

Wasn’t there another high profile situation like this recently? And the alleged perpetrator only received community service and probation?

Please don't get on the road if you think that. A 78 year old passenger in a head on collision at even 25 mph is going to be f'd up.
