An arrest warrant has been issued for LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy for negligent homicide and felony hit-and-run during a deadly December car crash. Per WAFB:
quote:

Lacy is wanted on charges of negligent homicide and felony hit-and-run following a December 17, 2024 traffic crash that killed a former Marine and injured two others, Louisiana State Police said.

Louisiana State Police say they are “in communication with Lacy and his legal representation to turn himself in.”

After allegedly causing the crash, investigators allege Lacy sped from the scene and did not report his involvement to police.

Lacy, 24, of native of Thibodaux, Louisiana is also wanted on a charge of reckless operation of a vehicle, documents show.
Lacy played his final game at LSU vs. Oklahoma on November 30. He declared for the NFL Draft on December 19 and did not practice or play in the Texas Bowl against Baylor on December 31.

The fatal accident took place on December 17.

Hated the way the put up Lacy's stats but only said Mr Hall was a Marine. That Marine's service is FAR GREATER than any NCAA stat. And why do all those kids who seem to have trouble follow them around drive Chargers. Is that a thing?

Not if he stopped at a convenience store to get $2.00 worth of gas. He’ll be on video somewhere.

None of this suprises me. Anyone who watched this dude on TV could tell that he was a fricking idiot from his actions alone.

God Bless this Marine & his family & friends.

I don't get some of you apologists. He is actions directly led to someone dying. Had he stopped, reported the collison and helped, he may not have been charged with this. Choices matter people.

without proof he actually did it? will be hard to prove he was behind the wheel since he didn't stop and I'm sure the windows were blacked out. all they have is it was his car.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean he gets away with it. He’ll face the consequences and should.

@ cheeto225, if his windows were blacked out and there are no witnesses...I'm sure his lawyers are already looking for a fall guy for him.

Takes a real piece of shite to cause an accident and run away like a little bitch. If it’s true I hope he pays a steep price with his freedom and never sets foot on a football field again.

If he was drunk. I mean good move on his part. Means 30 years if he stays or probation. I am not trying to sound like I am on his side.

Well, he’s done now. If he had a shot to play in the NFL it’s gone now. Nobody would touch him as a draft pick or free agent. What a complete dumb arse. A stain.
user avatar

He definitely had a shot to play in the NFL as a probably 3rd round pick. It's difficult to see someone picking him up. Although the Kansas City WR did exactly this and is still playing.

So sad, but part of this falls on the shoulders of our society. These kids from a young age are allowed to get away with everything and are put on a pedestal where they feel like they can't be touched. Now players are making millions and are even more out of touch with reality. If someone truly investigated all the players on every college sports team, you would be shocked at the number of players that have criminal records, but are given special treatment because they can help a school win some games! The way he carried himself, you could tell he was a thug!

Many affluent people make this choice and has happened recently in BR. Flee the scene avoid a sobriety tests then control the turn in and post narrative through your legal team. Luxuries average folk don’t have
