Any time there’s a major coaching change there’s a contingent here that insists that we’re dirt poor despite all evidence to the contrary. They were also melting that when we hired Verge every hire was going to be cheap and the athletic department would be in shambles. “Get ready to go back to the Hallman days,” I think it went.

And outside of (rightfully) bringing up his record since February I’ve never trashed the guy-especially when he was at LSU.
As far as Matt, ever since I moved to Houston I’ve always enjoyed keeping up with LSU news through Matt and the other local LSU media. And having worked in the same industry for 18 years, plus having met Matt, I appreciate his passion for what he does. I just think he’s better at it than he gets credit for on this board, despite some admittedly cringe moments.
