guess we'll find out how good a QB coach Moore really is b/c up to this point, no one knows... he's benefited from having good QBs to work with already, so we'll see how he can grow one, I guess

I know there's a lot of smoke pre-draft, but when the reporting is consistent among a few different outlets, both pre-draft and during the draft, there's a very good chance it's accurate reporting...
personally, I think they likely would have called Campbell in Detroit at 28 and tried to trade up to there, or Philly at 32 to get back in the 1st, being they had Cleveland sitting there at 33 and NYG at 34 needing QB too...

Some of these guys will likely get cut, injured, etc. Once you get through cuts and injuries and start the season, our depth isn't as good as it seems to be right now on paper.
for the sake of the discussion, let's just concede you are right... you talk about depth and how it will be not as good later on.... so going by this same line of thinking, how does our CB room look to you? looking at the DT and CB rooms, pre-draft, which one would you say had more overall talent, and which one could have used more help? and if our depth is going to be worse later on, how comfortable are you with our CB room currently? or our WR room for that matter?

you do realize that we didn't HAVE TO take a QB, right? it's not like it was a binary choice between Shough and Sanders...
we all know they wanted Dart, and were targeting him at 40, which would have been fine... Dart gives you much better upside, and is more in line with amount of talent coming out next year, so taking him at 40 and giving him time to develop, that's all fine and understandable... but taking a guy that HAS TO get with it very quickly b/c of his age, who's talent level is nowhere close to some of the guys next year that we will likely have a chance to draft, you can see why it's a highly questionable pick

We are switching from a 4-3 to a 3-4, so some of our DTs from last year will be DEs this year, and some of our DEs will be OLBs.
i'm quite aware of all of this... and it makes it even worse that we didn't go with an edge rusher until the 7th round...

and that's why I have such a problem with the pick... investing more draft capital, in the very next draft at the same position, a position where you only have 1 guy on the field at a time.... if you go WR or CB in back to back year, that's totally understandable... but to go QB in the top 2 rounds in back to back years, that's what limits your ability to add to the overall talent level across the board... same as why the OT in 3 of the past 4 years stings as much as it does

he's never "made" a QB, if anything these QBs have made him... shite, the year he left the Cowboys, Dak actually led the NFL in TD passes and completions, proving that it wasn't specifically b/c of Moore that Dak was having success
look, maybe he is a QB whisperer, I don't know... I just know that he's had plenty of talent to work with already and when you look at their stats, they look basically the same before, during and after Moore worked with them, so i'm not sure where this whole trust for his ability to work with QBs comes from...
