LSU To Celebrate 100 Years Of Tiger Stadium With Many Upgrades To Death Valley In 2024

BATON ROUGE – LSU fans will experience Tiger Stadium like never before as upgrades to the video boards, ribbon boards, sound system, lights and other amenities will coincide with the 100-year celebration of Death Valley in 2024.

As part of the 100 years of Tiger Stadium “It Never Gets Old” celebration, TAF Services Corporation and Bayou Traditions are launching the Give 100 campaign where fans receive commemorative items with a contribution to Bayou Traditions, the Official Collective of LSU Athletics. Financial support to Bayou Traditions through this campaign directly impacts LSU football student-athletes.

Starting July 11, 2024, all contributions in support of Bayou Traditions through the Give 100 campaign will receive 4 priority points per $1,000 contributed. These points will count toward your lifetime and philanthropic point totals.

For a $100 gift, fans will receive an exclusive 11” x 14” 100 Years of Tiger Stadium print by renowned artist Becky Fos.

With a $250 gift, fans will receive the exclusive Tiger Stadium Becky Fos print along with a commemorative ticket and lapel pin – displaying the Ole Miss game on October 12 - in a decorative display ticket box.

A $500 gift includes the exclusive Brian Kelly-signed Tiger Stadium Becky Fos print (while supplies last), along with the commemorative ticket, lapel pin, and display box.

Here are some other highlights surrounding 100 Years of Tiger Stadium in 2024:

New Video Boards and Speaker Towers

Tiger Stadium will feature new video boards in the north endzone and the east and west corners of the south endzone. Featuring the latest in technology, the new video boards will be among the biggest and best in college football and will deliver excellent image clarity to all fans in Tiger Stadium.

The screen in the north endzone of Tiger Stadium measures 5,624 square feet, stands 37-feet tall and measures 152-feet in width, more than doubling the size of the previous screen (28-feet x 80-feet; 2,240 square feet). In addition, two new speaker towers will flank the north board with each measuring 19-feet x 37-feet.

The south endzone corner boards stand 48-feet tall and measure 67-feet in width and will supplement the main north endzone board.

Upgraded Ribbon Boards

A total of 11 LED ribbon boards – totaling more than 2,350 linear feet – have been installed on the fascia on the east, west and south sides of Tiger Stadium. The new digital technology will feature animations, graphics and game statistics and will bring constant energy and excitement, adding another layer of enhancements for fan enjoyment in Death Valley. LED lights have also been installed in the Chute – where the Tigers take the field – as well as the field tunnels.

Tiger Stadium will also feature new LED lights in 2024 allowing for in-game light shows and other capabilities that will not only enhance the field of play, but will add to the excitement of Death Valley.

Seven of the very best fan submissions will be selected and featured during each 2024 home game. Those fans selected will be given four tickets to a football game, recognized on the field and be part of 100 Years of Tiger Stadium celebration by sharing their story on an LSU podcast along with a video feature on LSUsports.net.

LSU’s seven-game home schedule is one of the most attractive in school history as the Tigers welcome longtime SEC foes Alabama, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt along with league newcomer Oklahoma to Tiger Stadium. UCLA also makes its first trip to Tiger Stadium along with Nicholls and South Alabama.

EFCU Financial, one of the largest credit unions in Louisiana, will serve as the “Centennial Partner” for LSU’s 100 seasons of Tiger Stadium celebration in 2024. EFCU has served the Greater Baton Rouge Area for 90 years, providing exceptional financial services and community support.

Its all good but still will ot make up for the Pure S(*& Internet and Cell Service! You go to Kyle Field and you can literally be in the last row of the stadium and have 5 bars of cell and wifi service.

I was hoping they’d reopen the dorms in the stadium. One of the worst places I’ve ever lived. Cold in the winter & terribly hot most of the year. Good memories there though.

I want to share that my first ever game in tiger stadium was when LSU was beating Tulane. After LSU kicked an extra point, Tulane and LSU players got into a huge fight. Both benches cleared and the refs called the game over. It happened in south endzone and that is where I was sitting with my parents. Awesome way to end the game. Think LSU will honor that story and post highlights of the game/fight?

No, they will show our OLman laying the f*ck out of the Wisconsin interception where the DB picked off Brandon Harris, slid down, then maybe Charles Turner? Just absolutely sent this guy's bells ringing with of course a 15 yrd penalty after. I heard they'll show that highlight 5x a game.

I’m encouraged by the added speakers in the north end zone. Hopefully makes a big difference. That’s my biggest gripe with the stadium, the sound system.

i'm not holding my breath that they fix the audio...which in certain parts of the stadium you can't hear at all, and in other parts it will make your ears bleed.
