I would accept a requirement that they can trade only through a dedicated trading platform that publically publishes any and all trades within 10 minutes of being executed, in a manner that a person does not have to create or login with a user account to access the trade history of any congressmember.

Hammer fired. Those are the 1911 style handguns, right? I like the look of those too. I was originally looking at one of the new XD Mod.4 9mm, but they didn't have any ither the GearPac bundles so I opted for the Echelon. The only thing I don't like about it so far is that the only safety on it is that double trigger. That feels kind of worthless to me, I can't picture a scenario where that would make any difference in firing it or not. I'm OK with it not having an active thumb safety, but I'd be more comfortable if it had a grip safety like the Mod.4

Picked up a Springfield Armory Echelon FC4.0 bundle for $700+tax. Came with 4 magazines, Veridian RFX11, magazine loader, and a not bad carrying bag.

Thought it was a pretty good deal. It's my first handgun. I'll meet up with some friends at the range next weekend to put some rounds through it.
