What a weird set up. :lol: Your 5i and 9w are seemingly the same club. Ditch the 5 iron. Choke down an inch for your 7W to got 210-215. Add something on the bottom of the bag where the distance gaps matter way more.
Maybe get a driver lesson and/or move up a tee if you’re finding yourself with enough 200+ yard approaches to need multiple options

Titliest U505 3i loft. I replaced the shaft with one that matches my iron set and had it swing weighted the same. I can only get about 220 out of it, but I it gets me something I can use off the tee on short par 4s and for 2nd shots on Par 5s

Suggestions for a local/non-toursity bar and grill type spot downtown with good food and a cool vibe for Friday night? We’re doing a New Orleans weekend for my son’s 21st. Got a nice dinner planned for Saturday night, but want to do something more laid back Friday night. Don’t want to do Walk-ons or Mannings. Walking distance from the casino area is a plus, but not a deal breaker if not.

Play it every week. It’s a pretty straight forward course. Rule #1: don’t miss left on any hole. You can make par from the right trees on just about every hole. Big left misses are dead. The only exception is 15, where there’s some room left of the bunkers, but there’s a thick patch of trees and a ditch that plays as lateral to the right.. plan on less than driver off the tee on 6 and 9 (make sure to look at some overhead views of 9. It’s a great golf hole but the tee shot is awkward unless you can carry the ball 280). Look at the overhead on 15 as well. There’s a little pond that creeps in and it’s right about driver distance for most.
The last 3 par 5’s are all pretty similar… straightish with water left. If you hit a straight ball or a draw, most guys trey to draw it off the right trees. If you fade it, you can be a little more agressive, but right half of fairway is where you want to err. 16 is very reachable if you hit a good drive. But it’s a narrow green with water left and bunker right.
18 is a really solid finishing hole. It dog legs left around a fairway bunker and some wetlands on the left, if you can fly the bunker, you’ll have a much shorter approach. The right side of the fairway is safer but you’ll have a longer second.
Fairways are really good right now. The rough will be juicy with the rain we’ve been getting. Plan on catching flyers if you’re in it. Bunkers aren’t too tough. No high faces anymore since they redid them. Greens have been a little slow and grainy. Make sure you check the grain at the hole.. it will rip a ball across or hold it against the break
Burgers and Chicken Quesadillas are really good in the 19th hole. Beers are cold.
Enjoy.

If there was actual proof of alien life, they would release it. This slow roll bullshite wouldn’t happen. It would have leaked or there would’ve been a whistleblower. They do not have physical proof of an alien craft or species. It doesn’t exist.

This video has changed my entire short game philosophy away from the leading-edge, hinge and hold method. This is much more forgiving if you aren’t perfect, you can play with more speed through the shot, (which is what you really need into the grain) and you’ll get more check when you’re short sided or the green is sloping away from you.

It’ll always be Sarazen in 35. If you know the club history from the 30’s and early 40’s, it’s far from a certainty that the Masters would still be a thing were it not for that shot.

Even the so called “magic bullet” theory has been debunked. Connely’s position at the time of the shot, was inboard and below JFK. Not directly in front of him. He was turned to the side to tell JFK “Mr President, you can’t say the people of Texas don’t love you” None of the zig zagging of the bullet took place. The wounds were all perfectly aligned.
Jack Ruby’s movements on the morning he shot Oswald are also heavily documented. He stopped at a newspaper office to place an ad. He stopped at Western Union to wire money to a stripper. Does this seem like the actions of a man who wanted to be lying in wait for Oswald to be brought out? In fact, Oswald was supposed to be transferred before Ruby even got to the police station. But Oswald himself asked for a change of clothes which delayed his departure, allowing Ruby to get there just in time. Was Oswald in on his own execution?
