re: Would Jack have become a legend with this current generation of fans?
Posted by dpd901 on 4/16/24 at 2:07 pm
Jack was thought of like Scottie when he first came onto the scene… he was milquetoast, boring, robotic, he was made fun of for being overweight, not dressing well and coming from a Country Club background. To compound things, people loved Arnold Palmer and he was the bully beating up their favorit...

The Pinehurst area has this in spades

You could also do a Mid Pines/Pine Needles/Southern Pines package
Throw in Tobacco Rd to either ...
re: Thoughts when hitting fairway woods
Posted by dpd901 on 4/11/24 at 9:36 pm
I had tons of trouble hitting fairway woods for a long time. I’m not very tall and tended to jerk the club to the inside on my takeaway, resulting in getting the club in a “stuck” position. So, for me, it’s standing a little taller and closer to the ball, and concentrating on keeping the clubhead ...
re: What's the Democrats angle on stopping the IDF from eliminating HAMAS once and for all?
Posted by dpd901 on 4/5/24 at 7:15 pm
Leftist view everything through the lens of Power and Oppression… to them, in every situstuon, the ones with the power are the bad guys and the one who claim to be oppressed are the good guys. It’s a ridiculous premise… think about this situation:
Isreal is Democratic, socially moderate and non ...

I bought a Titleist TSi 2 from a fellow club member a couple of years ago and it’s the best FW I’ve ever owned. Easy to hit and LONG. Imagine you can come by them fairly cheap as they’re 3 years old at this point ...
re: Easiest way to fix out-in swing path

“Reverse the loop”: exagerate taking the club away to the outside of your target line and then feel like your hands are dropping towards the ground at the start of your downswing. Watch videos of Lee Trevino swinging driver down the line to see what it should look like. (Like the clubhead is maki...

Addidas ultimate 365 shorts are good bang for buck shorts. Look for sales.
Polos are worth investing a little more in my opinion. Peter Milar Crown Sport/Crafted will last you years, don’t fade or pull and rarely need to be ironed. They do sales twice per year. Next one will be in July time...
re: Putting: To line up OR not
Posted by dpd901 on 3/30/24 at 9:19 pm
I worry more about the line on my putter being aimed along my target line. I do that with my eyes directly over the ball, then step into my stance. If the putter face is right, then my alignment will be right. Then it’s just about putting the right stroke on it. ...

It’s a grill room at a golf club. Not a church. Men can’t have a place to be men at a private club they pay thousands and thousands of dollars to be a member of? That club house is huge. Put the pearl clutchers in a different room. What are you? Dawna’s brother? ...

re: Club fitting
Posted by dpd901 on 3/28/24 at 7:20 am
When you break it down, the cost of a fitting is = a couple of green fees. Making sure you have the right lie angles, that the distance gaps between your clubs is consistent and the right shaft for your swing is absolutely worth the small investment. Before I first got fitted, I was a 16-18 handic...
