Frank Wilson will coach LSU in the Texas Bowl against the Houston Cougars and spoke with the media on Tuesday, revealing several players who will not play in the bowl game.

Wilson said that QB Garrett Nussmeier, CB Mansoor Delane, WR Aaron Anderson, and LB Whit Weeks will not play in the bowl game due to injuries.

Edge rusher Jack Pyburn might not play, but the decision has not been made yet.

Wilson added that Ahmad Breaux will play in the bowl game but has entered the transfer portal.

What's the story with Ahmad? If he's actually transferring he shouldn't be playing in my opinion....

One last time to watch 13 Haulcy suit up in purple and gold. The best safety we've had since Laundry.

I think Delpit should be in the conversation

Since these players paid to play, Can they decide they dont feel like playing in a bowl game? Its essentially their job

If one of the 136 non-playoff bowl games want to differentiate themselves, they should step up and invest in themselves and their game and pay the players to show up. They should understand the concept. Their existence is entirely about money.

And people said, Whit was coming back! Looks like he’s preparing for the draft.

Why didn't Garrett announce this on his own?

To make it seem like it's actually an injury, and the decision is out of his hands. Same with all of them, to be honest.

Serious question. Nuss was in the top 5% in Velocity last year. He is in the bottom 5% this year. But, he is faking an injury.

A lot of idiots here are too stupid to figure that out.

There is obviously some opportunity for the right sponsors to create some wonderful bowl games.

You wouldn't be saying that if LSU were in the playoffs.
user avatar
I would. College football had it right with BCS.

Bowl games are worse than NFL preseason now. At least with the NFL, you have a chance to see star players

That’s gradually going away too

I guess Nuss is afraid he might start

I wonder what some of you idiots are going to pivot to when you don't have Nuss to crap on anymore? JERK
user avatar
It's really weird the hate. Terrible OL, terrible OC, no running game, poor offensive scheme, average to below average WRs....but Nuss sucks. Enter MVB, and those same people aren't saying a word at his play.

Need to play Johnson at QB at least 2- quarters. What the hell fo they have to lose by playing him?
user avatar
Bowl games suck, unless your in the playoffs. Waste of time accept for the extra practice days for the players.

Since I enjoy watching LSU play football and bowl games give me another opportunity, it won't suck for me. What would suck is if we didn't get to play. Just ask Notre Dame fans who will be watching all those bowl games that you think suck so bad
