was around for 150 pitch games routinely happening.

I’m just wondering why we let high school kids do that YEARS after college and MLB pitchers stopped
quote:

I can’t hear them over their yelling of disapproval of the mid barritaria diversion.

That was Plaquemines
quote:

And I'll be off the chains if he sends a starter back out there in hte late innings nearing 100 pitches with a nine run lead the tenth weekend of the season (unless he's got a no-hetter going)
there’s a sweet spot though where you save the bullpen and extend the starter though… if the lead is too much though you give a back of the pen freshman the work…

You don't cede ground to these fricking people.

They can have Minnesota
quote:

The people who push them to transition tell them it's the right and noble thing to do, and inflate their delusion while knowing that the world at large does not partake in the delusion. Then, the same people tell them that the world at large is their enemy and objectively bad and denying their humanity

“You don’t have to change a thing the world can change its heart”
Time to get ICE out of there… it clearly isn’t safe

He wasn't bad all year. However, He was playing injured and sucked down the stretch. It's as simple as that.

How much of that was not necessarily injury and more just having a scouting report out on him?
quote:

why is that? maybe because of who they will be attending school with vs a place like chalmette and the expectations on those kids and the vested interest the families have?

See that’s the thing, public schools are all at the mercy of their demographics. Because other public schools in other districts with bad demographics are bad, it hurts the good ones.

I think we’d benefit though as long as we gave a shite. Just got to get our head out of our arse. There’s plenty of kids in Orleans and Jefferson public schools that would come to us. Karr can only have 22 starters, etc.

quote:

All of this over high school athletics which is supposed to be about home grown kids representing their schools and thier communities on the athletic fields.

Then everyone with home grown kids started losing to J.T. so now we have to do what we have to do. I don’t care where our kids come from if we win. Never have minded sharing Mitch with Pensacola

here is an idea, develop a better tax base, get people to donate more, sell more advertising, or raise taxes overall

Thing is, the Northshore public schools would benefit because they’re places parents want to be…

And Skenes throwing 98 pitches week one is kind of like when people talk about Nolan Ryan throwing 150 pitches every 4 days. Let's not base our standards on the absolute physical freaks.

One thing that needs to be a part of this discussion is the leverage game #1 has or doesn’t have on ultimately playoff and title hopes.

That leverage absolutely should influence how you use your “dudes”. Hahnville didn’t get a trophy for beating Rummel

Why would anyone want to live in Covington? You have all the disadvantages of the NOLA area

Well except for one

hate the Causeway……..Turned my little Town into Metairie
which is an improvement… everywhere should be Metairie

If it gives him access to their programs/players it's a conflict of interest.

Like he doesn’t know who they have  every Catholic League coach knows who everyone has
quote:

The legislators are not going to turn on principals Not if they plan on getting re-elected

They’re going to choose the money (that wants to end the split) over the principals though
quote:

They started the season without Hali and McConnell. The first week of the season they lost Nembhard, Mathurin, and Toppin for multiple weeks. Then Nesmith. By the time guys started getting healthy they were already like 1-13 or something.

Sounds like last years Pelicans
quote:

why would the state legislature want to do this?

What I’m wondering is the breakdown of where all the legislators come from… I suspect it heavily favors select schools
From the By-U sports Facebook

quote:

So much for being a Prinicpal’s Organization.

LHSAA members today were basically told in not so many words that if they do not pass legislation enacting a one time free transfer rule that the State Legislature is going to intervene and place it on them.

So it’s coming, folks.

Players WILL NOT be allowed to follow coaches, be coerced via recruiting and/or leave to become eligible because ineligible at other schools.

What they may want to look into is changing “select” and “nonselect” into “zoned” and “nonzoned”…

Even if they saved up enough to buy a beater car, the cost of monthly insurance would be tough to handle for a teen.

16 year olds not driving should bring down everyone else’s insurance rates…

InspireNOLA Charter Schools proudly announces Brice Brown as Executive Director of Football Operations. He will continue to serve as Head Football Coach at Edna Karr High School while expanding his impact across our network. ?? In this role, Coach Brown will provide strategic support to the coaching staff at McDonogh 35 and Eleanor McMain, while focusing on competitive excellence, coach development, student-athlete growth, and alignment with InspireNOLA’s academic mission. His leadership will help establish consistent standards, strengthen long-term sustainability, and create expanded opportunities for student-athletes both on and off the field. ??

It’s a conflict of interest probably but I can’t say it isn’t smart… I’d do the same thing if I could. NOLA benefits bigly from Karr being awesome
quote:

neither have I, does that make me more successful than Campbell?

I mean yeah… it’s not like he just normally lost, he fell flat on his face and became a punchline
Meh

Yall probably have known who I am since I got kicked out of your gym in ‘03
