The 9 schools voted 8-1 to not play everybody for the next two years… Instead of 8 district games like they would have played, they’ll play 6 and skip 2 of them (which they can still play on the four nondistrict weeks). They cited power rankings and the current college conferences as a reason why.
And this is now a thread, so the rest of the state is taking notice… others will do this undoubtedly. Maybe we’ll skip Karr and Curtis. LHSAA may have to curb this somehow in January.

High school players play more than the college kids. Louisiana High Schools play a scrimmage game, a jamboree, a ten week regular season schedule, then the playoffs.

Looks like 10 P4 teams to me and no FCS, 7 true home games… just like any other P4 schedule.
Then it triggers everyone that they’re not in a conference:lol: they’re in the Independent conference, or, if you want, mentally put them in the ACC
Honestly what should happen is ND gets an ACC championship game bid if they’re in the top 12, just like they should. The other team in the ACCCG would get the trophy and call themselves ACC champions, but both teams would get a de facto playoff game to help their playoff causes

If it’s Frank Wilson, at Tulane he’d have to go into the weeds for mid-major recruits and he may or may not have the connections to do so nowadays
Like instead of going to Karr and talking to Richard Anderson he’d have to scout them. He won’t beat out P4 programs for guys he used to recruit. He’d have to go to programs he didn’t go to before.
