Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports
Former Florida head coach and current ESPN College Football analyst Dan Mullen revealed his 2024 SEC Predictions on Thursday.

He expects LSU to finish fifth in the league, behind Texas, Georgia, Missouri, and Ole Miss.

He believes six teams have a real chance of making the SEC Championship game but is picking Texas to beat Georgia in Atlanta for the conference title.

What is with all the Mizzou love? They lost their DC to LSU so D will not be as good and offense couldn’t beat a terrible LSU defense last yr, so what gives?

I don’t disagree in thinking they’re overrated however, they shredded our defense last season lol. We just shredded theirs a little worse.

still think Texas is over rated. i really think they will have some growing pains after the move.

They are a very good team…. But they have never had to play strong teams… week in, week out. They won’t hold up.

Tomorrow you’ll be talking about how Texas got an “easy schedule.”

Am I missing something with Mizzou? Seems like they lost a lot from last year

Their schedule is softer than Charmin. They should sleepwalk into 10 wins. A little ref chicanery and may go 11-1 and a berth in the SECCG.

I think losing Bo Davis is a big deal to that team. He and that Dline from last year were the attitude for that team. Can they recreate that?

That is pretty laughable. Missouri at 3?

Missouri does not play Texas, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, or Tennessee. While they have Bama, A&M and OU on the schedule, they absolutely could finish tied for third at 6-2, or even 7-1.

Ummmm have you seen their schedule? They should be 10-2 unless they get upset.

I don't understand why Texas is expected to dominate the SEC! They got into the playoff last year because they beat a Bama team who hadn't found thier identity yet, and proved they didn't belong when the lost the opening round. Texas about to get smoked weekly and I can wait to enjoy it!

When was the last time Texas played the brutal SEC
Schedule they have? How they will hold up is anyone’s guess. The top 7 is a toss up!

Not the first time that Texas has been overhyped in the preseason. Something about their culture, the teams usually seem entitled and soft. Weakness this year is interior DL and losing Bo doesn’t help.
