So that means that the team we play Friday won’t have a day off before they play us.
im rooting for the A&M/MSU winner against Auburn on Thursday now. If we play either of them they’ll be on their 3rd game in 3 days against us and we’ll have a fresh staff with Anderson on the mound. I like our odds there

Oklahoma with the win provides a small benefit to LSU's RPI. If they could take out Georgia tomorrow it would be even better.
Is there an RPI site that shows the actual formula number to see the impacts? I look at warrennolan and it just shows team ranking, not the actual RPI value for each team.

No teams at the top were competing with have moved so far this week with games that have been played according to RPI on warrennolan

here’s a conference champ auto-bid tracker. So far Holy Cross (Patriot League) and Columbia (Ivy League) are the first 2 teams with tickets punched to regionals.

Columbia has an RPI of 70, someone may be lucky to get them as a 3-seed in their regional if enough lower RPI teams win auto-bids where they land on a 3-seed line instead of a 4-seed.

ETA All 1 seeds are happy Yale lost. Jack Ohman would’ve been a tough ace to go against in a regional opener for whoever would’ve paired with them.

Besides SEC games other games of interest?
the Southland conference tournament auto-bid will go to whoever wins the championship series between UNO-Houston Christian this week. If UNO 27-24 (12-18) wins I’d think there’s a pretty good chance there’s our Baton Rouge regional 4 seed. I’d welcome that.
These belong here :pimp:

ETA DVH has been at Arkansas forever it feels like. I wouldn’t have guessed they were just a middle of the road SEC team all this time. No titles in program history either, they definitely lack postseason accolades.

The AI deepfake videos are what really irritate me. I’ve seen ones that are so realistic outside of the dumbass shite they create the dialogue around otherwise you’d never be able to tell it’s fake.

I’m just waiting for someone high up to actually get caught saying something incriminating on camera in the coming years and it just being played off as a deepfake by MSM and it’ll be swept under the rug. the state will finally get their 1984 wish soon, “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command”

Paid or actual?

Has to be paid judging by how dead the USC crowd looked this weekend

LSU stays at #1 in nation and a #3 seed in SEC. Kinda crazy.
#1 in every poll again and even extended our vote margin in the coaches poll. Last week 19/30 had us #1, now we have 22/30 first place votes.

After Texas got swept by Arkansas we went and beat them so I think the voters just see us as the most in form of the 3. It’s a tight margin between all the teams in the top 8 so the champ is just going to be whoever gets hottest over the next month

Oregon also didnt play a tough series away from home. Iowa is the only one and their schedule looks even worse than oregons. They also played 41 Q3/4 games with only 9 Q1 wins.
12-1 though in Q1/Q2 games and won the Big 10 which basically replaced the Pac12 as the 4th best conference this season with the Pac12 being dissolved. The sweeping OSU 4-0 was big too since OSU had been hanging in the top 8 and Oregons done enough to squeeze into the top 8.

Nowhere am I saying they are going to be seeded higher than LSU though, they’re not.

4-6 are interchangeable, but this should be the top 8. If Auburn make a run to the tourney title game, you can throw them in there as interchangeable as well.
pretty much, I looked at D1s projection just now and we have the same 8 teams in different order which in the end makes no difference to me where we land #1-8

With OSU losing series 4-0 to Oregon and Oregon winning Big 10, I think they wrapped up a #7 or 8 seed. OSU season is over and they won’t jump anyone. Only team I see at risk is Auburn losing out on top 8 and FSU jumping in taking their spot if they go on a run in the ACC tourney and Auburn has an early exit in the SECt.
My opinion which I believe holds as much weight to the committee as D1s projections: zero

LSU finished tied for 3rd place. Do you think they will be seeded #1? #2? Will LSU be seeded ahead of Vandy who we tied with?

I think the answer to all three questions is no.

Will LSU be seeded ahead of UGA, who we finished 1 game ahead of in SEC standings, but are the #1 RPI team in the nation.
1 Arkansas
2 Texas
3 UNC
4 LSU
5 Vanderbilt
6 Georgia
7 Auburn
8 Oregon
quote:

What say you about vandy having better rpi and same sec record? Ga better rpi?
Vandy is going to get a high seed too. Georgia is also deserving of a national seed. The SEC has 5 of the top 6 national seeds IMO with the other team being UNC.

I agree with what the outlets have been saying the past month or so in their regional projections and the SEC will get 5-6 top 8 seeds. Auburn would be my #6 team from the SEC so they’d be the one to possibly miss out on it if any.
The ridiculousness I referred to is nothing other than us being a borderline top 8 seed regardless of how it came across.

I’m aware a team can be ranked somewhere in the polls and it be possible for them to fall nowhere near the same seed when it comes time to selecting regionals in the national picture.
Oregons RPI is #13 and they’ll likely be the national #8 seed. Oregon also swept Oregon St 4 games to 0 a week or 2 ago. RPI is only one metric the committee uses.
quote:

It's their opinion of LSU vs what they think the committees opinion of "paper" LSU. So, it's not really ridiculous that there is such a variance.
Last week they had us #1 and #2 overall seed and this week #1 and #7 overall seed. I think the ridiculous part is the assumption last week the committee wouldn’t penalize us and now they will when the only thing that changed between last week and this week was:

Our RPI went from #7 to #8, won a road series in the SEC, went into the weekend in 3rd place in the SEC and finished the season in 3rd place in the SEC. And some of the teams they dropped us behind lost their last series so IMO nonsensical they dropped us to #7. I think we are a #7 seed only if we lose on Friday.

I don’t see us being ranked any lower than #4 as of right now and that’s because I agreed with their #2 overall seed projection last week. Don’t see how they justify what happened in the past week as good enough reason for the committee to want to drop us 5 spots other than throwing out clickbait to the largest college baseball fan base.
quote:

We know D1’s goofy asses will drop us to justify where they put us!
they have LSU ranked #1 in the country which does make it a little bit ridiculous they also slotted us as the #7 national seed.

What that does say is that the top 8 or so are pretty interchangeable and it’s wide open this postseason for anyone to win
Sounds like the person you are describing with the abundance mindset has disposable income to spend and enough money already invested and that’s where their money replenishes itself from.

If you don’t have investments money is not going to replenish itself from anywhere after you spend it. Don’t go spending what you don’t have. I imagine living in debt is a lot more stressful than living paycheck to paycheck.
