We did at one point, but we started spending more. Most notably on coaching salaries, but on other things as wel
Didn’t realize that. I just searched and came across this crummy article from last season. I was very surprised we weren’t #1 but even more surprised by who was… you’d never guess

Top 5 richest programs in college baseball

#1. Binghamton (earning $11.501 million)

Binghamton University, located in upstate New York, is the biggest money earner in college baseball in 2024. Interestingly, the Bearcats have never been to the College World Series. They have reached the NCAA Tournament five times though, starting with their first appearance in 2009.
Binghamton's stadium, the Baseball Complex, seats only 1,000 fans. The school does have a generous alumni group, particularly in terms of financing baseball. A recent $60 million gift will help build a new baseball stadium complex.

Baseball program in the red every year
link? I thought we had one of the few programs in the country that actually turned a profit in baseball

#132 Anthony Eyanson
What the frick? These MLB scouts stupid or something?
Chase Shores at #78 is a lot more indicative of that then Eyanson. He’s had a great year while Chase has regressed throughout the season

Eyanson is top 5 in the SEC in Ks and has a better ERA than Anderson and with a similar BAA
His record does indicate that. They are 21-0 against non-quad 1 opponents and only 5-20 against Q1 teams, 26-20 overall

They’ve beaten the teams they should beat at least but they’ve gotten clobbered when put up against quality teams. We better win that series

RPI is 5 right now
all the metrics looking good right now. I’d be surprised if we weren’t projected #2 overall seed right now.

Just want to take 2/3 each week and we won’t drop

:geauxtigers:

Southeastern (1st place in the SLC) has the best pitching in their conference and is batting over .300 with way more homers than anyone else in the Southland.

I got them headed back to BR again next month in my inaugural regional projections

I’m assuming in this weeks D1 tourney projection… not that it really means anything at this point…. But you’d have LSU paired with Vandy for the Super
I did my own regional projection after the polls came out yesterday and funny enough that’s exactly what I came up with

Slow week at work

quote:

thought you had to be .500 in order to get a ncaa tourney bid or is that just as an at large?

if you have a losing record and win your conference tournament you get an auto-bid to a regional. At-large teams do have to be .500

Florida went all the way to Omaha with an at-large just last year getting into a regional only one game above .500
