The family of LSU quaterback Colin Hurley released the following statement on their son after he was hospitalized following a car wreck early Thursday morning on LSU's campus.
quote:

"Colin would like to thank the first responders, the incredible doctors and nurses at Our Lady of the Lake Health and the many Tiger Fans for their care and compassion. Colin is resting and is stable while more tests and care are being administered. We are confident that Colin will make a full recovery from this terrible accident."

If my kid was that age with an ability to drive a fast car, it would be a Volvo.

Must have been a hell of a crash. Firefighters pulled him from his car “in and out of consciousness” and they are giving periodic status reports…

According to the original story, impairment was not suspected by the responders on the scene.

Life is fleeting. You're not invincible. Everyone on this planet is a single mistake away from leaving it. Whether he was intoxicated, tired, distracted, or reckless, those are all mistakes that he chose to make when he got behind the wheel and nearly took his life. Maybe his decision making will improve after that.

Probably true. But as I said in another thread, maybe he had his own medical emergency or swerved to miss a coed that tripped out into the road. Just wait till a few more facts come out before all of the assumptions. You'll have plenty of time to judge him publicly and hand out advice after that.

If you're praying to and thanking Yeshua for a full recovery, then who is responsible for the accident?

"If you're praying to and thanking Yeshua for a full recovery, then who is responsible for the accident?"..... I always think the exact same thing. Why not intervene to prevent the accident in the first place? Hey, whatever helps people get through the day.
