Back in the early and mid 70’s, Fords like that one had two keys, one for the door, one for the ignition.

It could have been me!
In 1992 I sold my house, a few months later, the guy that bought it, was killed in the house.
Looking back over the years, I’ve had at least 21 vehicles. Never lost an engine.

I did have a busted line to the transmission from the cooler. Cold morning, only a couple blocks from the house. Called a buddy, with a mobile service. We replaced both lines, added new fluid, started the motor, kept the brakes on. Ran it through the gears, without moving, shut it down, topped off the fluid. Did the same thing. Started driving it. Put over 100k more miles, w/o a problem. Sold it to the guy next door. No problems.

That piece of shite crapped out on me before I hit 40k miles. Current vehicle I change it at 10k. No problems.

What you driving? If you don’t mind me asking.

We had a Volvo with a 2.0L turbo engine that also had a super charger. They recommended 10,000 mile oil changes and I thought that was crazy even though we never used it for towing.

A good friend, she had a I’m almost sure it’s a XC60. It started burning oil with a little over 65k miles. Brought it in, they said that was normal. They do show in 2022, they have motor problems. The husband did say they brought it into the dealership for all service.

Some new Toyotas take 0w-16. That’s weird to me. I don’t recall ever seeing that weight in Autozone or OReilly but I’ve never really looked for it.

They have it at Walmarts. I’m sure, AZ and O’ has it also.

I was up in N. Ga. Talking on the phone and one hit. I told the person I was on the phone with, they didn’t believe me.

They have a place up in N. Georgia that gets in Crawfish during the season. My sister orders 5 sacks of select. Out of the 5 sacks, I might find 5 dead. They are as good as you can find in Louisiana. I boil the first batch easy, then go up from there.
The folks there are learning how to eat La. Style.

Oh, when we have a party, tell people we will supply the food. They arrive with a fork, spoon and knife in their back pocket!

In Texas, HEB does have a large display of Louisiana Seafood (Tony’s Seafood) products.
HEB has a better selection of Louisiana products, than Walmart.

Congratulations, very deserving. So sorry to hear about your wife. Stay busy.
I’m the busiest retired guy most folks know.
Stay busy my friend. I’ve help with Habitat for Humanity, in the construction of homes. I’ve open and closed shelters for the Red Cross. I’ve worked in the Food Bank. I also coordinate 4 charity golf tournaments.

If you need something to do, let me know.

Once again, enjoy life.

Burnt Ends and Tater Salad. Mardi Gras Cake for the chaser!

It’s just the south stadium club.

I’ve been to a number of events in the SSC, most times it’s the same company that caters LSU Football games in the Club. Their food is very good, with a great selection.

Got an invite yesterday for a Manship Theater event, won’t be in town.
I was asked to build a house for a good friend, at the time I was busy. He found a contractor to oversee the construction. The very first thing I told him, I’d rather write 200 checks, than one. Always owe them money. During the moving in of their new home, he got together a punch list. After weeks of calling, he called me. I asked, what do you still owe him. A little less than $19,000. He gave me the punch list, I had two guys finish it in a day, saved him thousands. Easy fix.

My Dad was a Marine, before he died, I took him to this museum. We have been going down to the Rio Grande Valley for years. Not far from the Rio, a town called Harlingen, they have a great Iwo Jima museum, if around that way, worth a stop.
