Our biggest area of concern right now is interior OL. If that gets fixed, everything else falls into place.

I feel like he is deliberately overly critical of LSU because he knows it will generate activity on his posts.
His opinion is is no better than anyone elses. Playing backup DL in college and the NFL for a few years doesn't make him an expert on QB play. If he was critiquing the DTs, maybe I pay a little attention.

Regardless of how this plays out, if I am LSU, I am putting feelers out to switch conferences. It's obvious that Birmingham likes certain schools and we are not in that list.

NBC would not pick us up. They picked up Notre Dame 50+ years ago when Notre Dame was one of the only national brands. Now Notre Dame has moved all other sports into a conference except football where they have an agreement to play several ACC opponents.
It's more likely if the SEC were to kick out LSU, that LSU would join up with the ACC or the Big XII (maybe the B1G if they really wanted to locker the SEC and show they are becoming the dominating leadership force in CFB).
Tbh, that would be the power move of all power moves if the SEC expelled LSU and the B1G swooped in and snatched them up. It would give the B1G its first real footprint in the south and LSU is a big enough brand and ratings attraction that it would make financial sense.

IF the SEC ousted LSU, the ACC would grab us up in a heartbeat and the ACC is a good baseball conference.

While I understand the fear. It would be incredibly stupid of LSU to not have some idea how the CFP will act before playing the players. Since ADs are part of the committee, would that make the committee which selects which NCAA teams get in the tourney an associate of the NCAA in the eyes of the court?
People always say that the CFP is "independent" of the NCAA and that may be from a governing standpoint, but that doesn't mean a punishment from the CFP to force LSU's hand wouldn't be looked at as the same as what the SEC was trying to do.
Lastly, the temperature on a couple 22 year old players getting to play will be much cooler come November when the actual CFP polls start coming out. In the end, the CFP is about making money from advertising and to leave out the sport's biggest villain would be stupid on their part. They would be better served putting us as a lower seed and making us travel up north to play in the snow or something like that. TV ratings through the roof as the nation hate watches us.

Nah.....CFB started to nose dive after Justin Fields whined about fake racism at UGA so he could transfer to Ohio St. and play right away. That started the transfer without sit situation we have now and then the NIL courtcase happened and all hell broke loose.

If eligibility can be dictated by a court of law for other situations, then it can also dictate it in a situation where you have players who were given eligibility after the fact and never played a down in the NFL.

A non-mobile QB with a core injury playing behind a terrible OL with a playcaller who struggled all year is going to be bad.
Who cares. Nuss has arm talent and he's on a team with a GOAT at starter and a QB whisperer as the HC. Nuss is a great team guy and a high level backup/low-level starter. He's exactly where he should be.

Lafleur has 4 years remaining and Thomas has 3. If I were them, I would put my head down and focus on getting better because TEs can do really well in this offensive system.
