I think Hatcher is likely the hedge knowing Weis won't be here long term
They can start getting him up to speed with how Lane wants things run

Hatcher was the assistant to the head coach at UGA. He'll be in a similar role at LSU. If Weis jumps to the NFL, Hatcher will not be the OC. He doesn't call plays. Cox is the OC in waiting currently.
Texas - They'll likely be a top 10 team when we play them.
He offers more immediate value being on the field vs. sideline.

That said, he is good enough that he can play whichever he wants to, so if he wants to stay at DL, then let him stay there and put all energy and focus into being a nightmare for opposing offenses.
I think when you have 3-4 prominent companies all vying for your services and all willing to pay you comparable money, then you have to get into the finer details of where you think the best fit is. It is smart to hear all options and then weigh out everything and make the most informed decision you can.

We always want players to come to LSU and commit once on campus, but those players don't always see LSU like we do as fans.

He'll make his decision in his own time. Meanwhile, we'll move forward as if he won't be here in the Fall and get another guy reps at OT in the spring and see what we have. If he comes and is available in the fall, we'll be that much better. There is no rush needed other than our desire to not drag this on.
Why would you sit in the back of the plane and let a recruit sit by himself in the front? Seems an odd travel arrangement.

That said, he spent 2 days on LSU's campus when he was supposed to be in Eugene on Monday. Let him go and check out the the northwest and Autzen. I'll put our campus, resources, and stadium up against them with no worries.

In the end, he'll go where he wants to. We hope it's LSU. I think LSU did everything it could. Let's see what happens.
If it goes through, this is a HUGE get for the DL.
4 teams have brought in more than LSU.

LSU has 38 commits and lost 32 players to the portal. It would impossible to have a successful program if you didn't replenish the numbers that left.

He doesn’t know anything. Ignore him.
Agreed. This feels like a leverage play to get some more money.
Good pickup for AU. Buddy is a good player and earned some PT as a true freshman. I was hoping he would stay and be part of our rotation.
How McFadden didn't win the Heisman is baffling to this day

Makes sense with Hankton
I don't think so. He sounds like a grounded guy.

Worst case, he gets into Spring practice and runs with the 2s, gets in the S&C program over the summer, sits and learns Kiffin's system and is in the room with Dane, CWJ, and Lane learning how to be a better QB. He doesn't play and hops in the portal as a much better option for a team that needs a starter.

Best case, he comes into the program and just lights it up and ends up being a starter for LSU.

Neither is bad.
That's a lot of snaps and only 1 sack given in the B1G.

Definite take
With Texas going all in for Arch's last year and Oregon going all in on Moore's it's hard to think he won't land at either of those two places.

That said, I didn't think we could pull Longstreet either, so you never know.
Tim Williams came out of U-High at 6’4 235ish and Saban turned him into a beast as a situational pass rusher off the edge.

If the talent is there, bring him in and get him in a legitimate S&C program and see what happens.

He's outperformed most people's expectations
