College Football reporter Bruce Feldman appeared on the "Rich Eisen Show" Monday and was asked about why Ed Orgeron wasn't hired full-time as USC's head coach back in 2013.

According to Feldman, the USC decision-makers "couldn't get past what Ed Orgeron sounded like." Per 247Sports:
quote:

“I think what you have is a guy who has continued to evolve,” Feldman said. “He made a huge jump from when he was at Ole Miss to when he was at USC. I think he’s made a significant jump after that, but I really think it’s a USC issue. You have a lot of people at USC, especially during the Pat Haden regime, who couldn’t get past what Ed Orgeron sounded like. They didn’t listen to the players. They didn’t listen to the staff. At the end of the day, Ed Oregeron is not a country club guy. I think he can relate to just about anyone. The Governor of Louisiana was waiting outside the locker room. He’s very street smart, and I think that’s one of the things that made him a very good recruiter. He can read people very well. I don’t think Pat Haden, who was the decision maker at the time, that’s just not the type of guy he wanted. I don’t think he could get past it.”

He doesn't even really have a Cajun accent. He has a cookie monster sounding voice from yelling at defensive lineman for the last 30 something years.

Impossible. That is where all of the Libtards live and they have stated over and over its the Conservative South that is full of bigots.

I live here. The students and the athletes wanted ED to stay and really went all out to keep him. The underbelly of L.A. soceity are elitist progressives who correlate a Southern (or Cajun) accent with lack of intelligence.

I completely understand. USC only associates with upstanding citizens like OJ Simpson.

This isn’t news. Everyone knew O did not fit the USC-LA vibe for a head coach. Their loss. Our gain. How does it feel USC to be irrelevant in the college football picture and keep your “standards”.

I don't want the elite recruiter because of the way that he talks. Great decision making USC,look at your program now.

This world would be a little better off if people could understand the term "racist" or "racism" and when it applies. Race had nothing to do with this. Both people are white for crying out loud. Bigoted or ignorant, maybe; but not racist.

TigerLaw- According to the term as used by progressives/libs on a day to day basis, this has racism written all over it!

TigerLaw these Alt Righters don’t want to be hearing that. It doesn’t fit their agenda. Got to sell the notion white people are under attack.

So discrimination is ok if the guy you’re doing it to is white. Gotcha.

Exactly. USC sounds like a bunch of racist bigots.

Why did most of LSU folks want Herman instead EdO? Because us local yokels were prejudiced too. We wanted someone who was suave looking and talking, not the country bumpkin we thought Ed O was perceived to be. In fact, so many in local media would dismiss BeBe, until recently.
