I am struggling to comprehend why Iran (Shia majority) financially backs Hamas (Sunni majority). I may be ignorant but I’ve always thought that the two sects hate each other. Seems odd that Iran would advance its opposition in spite of their views on Israel. Anyone have any recommended reading?...
