I was at the Earthquake game in the student section with my roommates but we had the trusty ole VCR set to record it as well. The words “LSU wins or loses on this play, it would appear” are forever seared in my memory.

It’s funny in fact how the media bangs on Mulkey. Staley sure didn’t say much to Auriemma after the game went final. I have no doubt that Mulkey would have embraced him and talked to him for a good 30 seconds.
