Report: Five-Star LSU DL Target Jahkeem Stewart Is Trending Towards Big Ten Program

Multiple sources have reported this week that five-star defensive lineman Jahkeem Stewart is trending toward Southern Cal.

The 6-6, 270-pound pass rusher from New Orleans was originally a class of 2026 prospect but reclassified to 2025 in October and transferred from St. Augustine to Edna Karr.

Stewart is the No. 1 player in Louisiana and a major target for the LSU coaching staff. He previously had the Tigers, USC, Ohio State, and Oregon as his top schools.

Stay tuned as the early signing period approaches on December 4.

2023 is the only time since 2020 that we missed on the #1 player in Louisiana. That was Arch Manning who was never going to LSU.

Ya know, every time there's talk about USC or UCLA my mind is going to the Midwest now. Like that intro they do with all the Big 10 schools and they're going over the terrain and their logos & stuff are popping up like the Game of Thrones intro.

I'm thinking that they've moved the damn campuses and are now in Ohio or Indiana...hahaha, and they ain't still all the way over there to the left. It's weird as hell...haha.

DL are a risk. DL who haven’t played in two years and reclass to be a 17 senior are a huge risk.

Uhh no brother. I can 100% guarantee you it’s $$$ is the only reason he’s potentially going to a dumpster fire like USC. Heck it would make way more sense to go to Oregon if not LSU. It’s obvious that championships mean absolutely nothing to that kid.

Brian Kelly won’t be winning a championship. LSU is done winning championships until something is done about NIL.

I had a feeling back in 2021 when NIL was announced that USC, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio St, Texas, Texas A&M, Florida, quasi Georgia would dominate again as they have the most rich alumni at reputable football schools. Schools like LSU, Bama, Auburn, Clemson can't compete. We don't have the money.

Yes, we do. The LSU NIL budget is $18,000,000 this year. They are just not going to pay some HS kid $2,000,000. Does that sound reasonable to you?

What happens to the true NFL talent when they get into year two at these programs seeing they arent getting the coaching needed for NFL round 1-3 money. Oh shite thats right BK just git called out on MSN by Charles Turner as being that lack luster coach. So real question is how does this change with profit sharing?

How good of a Dline coach you have has nothing to do with how much ridiculous money others schools are willing to spend on an unproven athlete. Today’s college football it doesn’t matter how good of a coach you are. Money will win everytime.
