Son of former WWE star Bill Goldberg, Gage, was this close to playing for Alabama, but he changed his mind once Nick Saban retired...
quote:

Cue Gage's WWE legend dad, who called Deion Sanders -- his former teammate with the Falcons in the early 90s -- and next thing ya know, Goldberg's on his way to Colorado!

Gage, a 205-pound middle linebacker out of Boerne Champion High School in Texas, spoke with us days after he announced he'd be playing for the NFL Hall of Famer as a preferred walk-on with the Univerisity of Colorado.

Strong. But looks a step slow. College running backs will run right past him. Maybe should try wrestling.

He’s listed as unranked and having no offers on On3 and 247. Must be a walk on.

He can go there and hear Deion talk about bags , and stare in the mirror at himself so he can keep an eye on the best 4-8 coach in D1

Good for him. But he's a walkon listed as a zero star recruit.

That defense needed a lot of help, and he still couldn't get a scholarship?
