We aren't going to agree here. That's a white woman.
Not even close to the color of the trees. And you mean the heavy makeup on that makes her appear a bit darker?
She's not pale white, but she isn't anywhere close to being brown.

Snow White is suddenly brown?

I keep seeing people mention this. Brown where? This chick is a lot closer to being white than she is brown.

At this point I don't think it's fake. This is just who he is as a person.
A bit surprised to see the Fox X-men all here in the movie. I really thought Wolverine & Deadpool served as that universe's funeral.

Hopefully we don't have to watch Professor X die for like the 5th time on screen.
Not only has Deion made Colorado relevant, but they have been one of the most talked about teams the past 2 years all across college football. Call it hate watching if you will, but people absolutely tune in to watch Colorado play football.

Colorado featured 11 times in the 100 most watched games of 2024.
No chance that kid makes it to 16 without being dead or in prison, unfortunately.
The combine is more for people to try and prove their draft stock, hoping to get drafted higher. For the top picks, it really makes little sense for them to participate.
Major credit to Purdue, Michigan State, and Duke. They really know how to hold on their players apparently.

Why should universities have to fund this?
Might as well disassociate all athletics from all universities.
Let them become minor leagues.
Call them the Maryland Turtles without university backing and see how it all turns out financially.
It will be like the WNBA

Why would they do that. These universities are making lots of money from athletics. They aren't funding this for fun.

Political pandering aside, why are they so obsessed with these live action remakes? Those movies were great as cartoons, we don't need a live action remake and nobody asked for that. Musicals are hit or miss. So now you have these musical movie/cartoons with computer effects. Gross.

Money. As much as people love to complain about the live-action remakes. They have been making tons of money for Disney.

The Lion King made 1.6 billion.
Beauty and the Beast made 1.2 billion.
Alladin made 1 billion
The Jungle Book made 966 million
Maleficient made 750 million
The Little Mermaid, which many consider to be a flop, still made 570 million.
Cindarella(2015) made 500 million on only 90 million budget.
Mufasa, an original movie, made 700 million.

Mulan, Peter Pan, Pinnochio, Lady and the Tramp were all straight to Disney + films, so it's harder to compare those.

Lilo & Stitch comes out in a few months, and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see that make a billion. Then they still have Frozen and Moana that would likely be guaranteed live-action hits.

All in all, these remakes aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Too much money for Disney out there to still be made.
I'm pretty sure reckless driving is a required class for UGA students at this point.

Agree, it's not like little mermaid where the politics were from & center and unavoidable.

With snow right, really have to be in tune with conservative (or pro-israel) politics to know about the drama here.

I'm not sure if this film even does Little Mermaid numbers. That made 570 million WW. If Snow White only comes out to 65 million opening weekend. No chance.

re: Invincible Season 3 Discussion

The evil Marks might have been the best episode of the season thus far. I'm surprised Earth managed to take out so many of the evil Invincibles. But then again it was implied some of them are weaker.
I never watched the original Netflix series. Is it worth it to go and rewatch the original, or should I just directly hop in here?

It might be time to take your arthritis medicine. 1980 was 45 years ago.
