Sims is on the TB Bucks practice squad now. I doubt they are going to let one of there players go practice with a college team even if he is only on the practice team.

The Bucs are out of the playoffs, so I don't imagine that would prevent Sims from helping Bama out. They probably would insist on a no-contact jersey I would guess.

They need to fix this loop hole. A team should have to practice against themselves. Not former and NFL players.

After the attention that has been brought to it this season, I'm willing to bet the NCAA will close the loophole. Regardless of the downvotes, it is bullshite and an unfair situation. The vast majority of college football programs do not have alumni who can just go take a little vacation in Tuscaloosa and simulate star players for opposing teams. Practices should be limited only to players on the active roster.

On bringing in former players, my first thought was..."that little cheating motherfricker" My second thought was..."that's a damn good idea. I wish we woulda thought of it"

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying Bama should have to vacate wins or anything, and I tip my cap to him for being innovative. But it shouldn't be allowed. Football TEAMS are supposed to compete against each other, not football PROGRAMS. There are already "haves" and "have-nots" in CFB because some teams have stronger, more established traditions. And there's nothing the NCAA can do about that. But the NCAA should be regulating stuff like this, which tips the advantage further in the direction of the big boys. Case in point: Wake Forest has to play Clemson too. Which one of their football alumni can they get to come back to campus simulate DeShaun Watson? Probably nobody. So not only do they not get a high-caliber player to simulate the opponent, but they also have to put one of their own players at risk. Odell Beckham simulated Manziel for LSU's defense in 2013. What if he has sprained his ankle or torn his ACL while he was scrambling around? Bring back your alumni to consult or speak to the team, or whatever, but they shouldn't be putting pads on.

"Lumpie" Kitchens is an obvious choice.

Could be any of the former QB's, it's not like any of them are worth a shite in the NFL

Most likely one of their washed up former RB's since they need the money from their failed NFL careers.
