If Lane is hired, then I’m good with whoever he wants to bring in. I wouldn’t like if he didn’t retain Peoples and Baker but I would get over it quickly. I would be irate if he got rid of Corey

Yeah Les was likable and like everyone said very hard headed on offense. 1/9 changed him much like this fan base. He was running neck and neck with Saban in those years, then the Yeldon screen pass ripped everyone’s hearts out including Les. This is when even Saban finally decided to change the offense and brought in Kiffin. Les was left behind in the museum and never adapted.
That being said people liked Les and rooted for him to be better. No one seems to like BK and that combined with mediocre results and going to doom him quickly

Kiffin is 1-2 wins better than BK with our resources. I think if he is the guy Woody has him keep Baker (Lane may prefer it also). Lane’s weakness is recruiting and he gets built in advantages at LSU and several La recruiters on staff. Not to mention, him and AT have a good working relationship
Lane would likely keep the defensive staff in place (mostly) unless Baker takes a HC job and takes guys with him.

Yep. 2001 SEC champs started to build some expectations. Started great in 02, then Mauck gets hurt during an absolute blowout at UF and the season faltered a bit. Going into 03, there was optimism but no one was thinking natty by any means. Those Saban teams would lay an egg or two and UF that year was definitely one. Had they had the 12 team playoff in 03, I think the expectations would have been to make it.
But it was an optimistic expectation. The program was ascending. This year is more of an apathetic expectation.

Yeah I think Moo St gets OM, Bama, and who? I think LSU’s will be OM, Aggie, and either MSU or Arky. Arky will get Mizzou and Aggie likely. An interesting dark horse for LSU is OU
