Would expect 65-35 uga crowd. Not sure of the ticket allotment but it isn’t many that go straight to schools.

I know some MCB/Falcon season ticket holders get a option for SECCG tickets. Not sure about Peach Bowl tickets when it's part
of the CFP.

This is the only team with the fire power to throw on our defense. We get past them and I have no doubt we will win the natty

I’d say they are a more talented version of Lsu and we saw what that looked like. Luckily the D got an unfatal dose of that and hopefully can improve on the effort.

I think our D struggles but makes game winning plays when it matters. They shouldn’t stop our offense very much. Similar to what we saw in the SECCG. Similar outcome IMO.

It's a tough matchup. They manhandled most of the teams they played other than Michigan. Their D ranks in the top 20 and offense is balanced and they have a good running game. I guess it comes down to SEC vs Big 10 and what conference is better. Last year we destroyed Michigan but this may be a better Michigan team. Hopefully our coaching staff can prep better for the passing attack for this game.

OSU has a better defensive front than LSU. Probably by a lot. I dunno about scoring 50. They can be scored on but they’re probably not getting the respect they deserve from our fans.

They’re solid. They may also have the 2nd best DL not named Carter. I like our O-Line vs anyone though. If we can contain their offense, we win pretty comfortably imo. But I agree, their D-Line has been really good most of the year.

Crowd will be 90% pro UGA and it will be tuned in for this game ..

Obviously with it being in our backyard I expect UGA to have a crowd advantage — but it will not be this steep. OSU travels extremely well, and I have a feeling a lot of their fans think they can win this game/that they will play with a lot of fire after being embarrassed by Michigan but still getting another chance. They will, as the pundits say, have a ‘chip’ on their shoulder somewhat b/c I think a lot of people will think that UGA will just blow them out — a situation not totally unlike when they played Bama in the sugar bowl in 2014. I don’t think this OSU team is as good as that one, and they aren’t coached by Urban Meyer.

But I do think everyone can admit that OSU is a dangerous team: they have the athletes and players to beat you on any given day. But I like how our offensive line has been playing and physically imposing themselves in some of these big games. I hope we can do that again. Establish the run and shorten the game a bit, keep ourselves in 3rd and manageable situations on offense. I think a lot of this game will come down to how our lines of scrimmage fare, much like every game. My hope is that they can embrace the opportunity here: blowing out Michigan last year, winning the title against Bama, and then beating OSU this year (with an opportunity to win another title) would be fantastic collection of scalps to hang on the wall — and would truly make a statement that UGA is the alpha dog in college fb. Hopefully Kirby can get our guys to understand that they do have something to prove in this game, and I think he will.

To be honest I have not watched much of OSU this year. I saw some of the Michigan game, and it obviously seems like they can be susceptible to a true power running game — which is good for us. We need to get McConkey back b/c we will need a full array of our receiving weapons to complement our running game. I would not be surprised if OSU plans to “pass to open up the run”, taking a page from what LSU seemed to sort of do in the second half of the SECCG. Idk if super aggressive blitzing will be the best approach initially — would be nice to see if we can get some pressure (not necessarily sacks) with 4. We did dial up some blitzes against LSU in the 4th quarter that seemed to work positively though and produced negative plays for their offense. Uga’s defense will probably have to play their best game against OSU. Also, this is where not having Nolan Smith hurts a bit. But on the whole, I like our chances with the way we are playing.

Think we got the tougher draw but whatever.

That’s what the committee was hoping, too. They want us eliminated.

We were predictable on defense in the 3rd quarter.
Cover 2 shell. Basic 4 man pass rush.

I'm not worried. Change coverage schemes. Change pressures. The QB's job is much tougher when he has to diagnose pre and post snap and the rush is bearing in on him.

I credit LSU for hitting those big throws. They shouldn't have had so much success going deep like that on cover 2. But our 2023 defense steps in and we call a real defensive scheme, and LSU struggled.

Because they’re tired of the SEC winning all the time. In reality, TCU should have dropped to 4th for losing. First time I’ve ever seen a team stay in the same position after a loss. They’re hoping for an OSU/Michigan rematch for the title.

Not to mention that potentially getting another shot at Michigan for all the marbles will be a huge motivator for OSU. We better be on our A-game, or we’ll get beat. It’s just that simple.

I’m not sure about that. It feels more like they are trying to avoid the UM/OSU rematch. A UM/UGA rematch from last year should draw huge ratings.

Ohio State worries me because they probably have the most talented set of receivers in the country and they’ll be coming in with a chip on their shoulders like we did this time last year.

Somebody earlier said we should just do what we did to Tennessee and shut them down man-to-man. I don’t know that we can do that to OSU. Tennessee’s receivers weren’t nearly as good as these OSU receivers will be. They put up big numbers based on system, not talent. LSU’s receivers are more talented than Tennessee’s and we saw what kind of trouble they gave our secondary at times yesterday.

We should be able to score whenever we want to, but I could see this being a shootout.

Are you OK? You seem riled up.

If they want the OSU/Michigan rematch, they are more likely to see it in the semifinals (which they had 100% control).

The SEC TV footprint is better than any other college football footprint. There is no reason for SEC fatigue when a team is the SEC fuels the TV ratings in the finals.

They don’t want a rematch in the semis. A rematch in the finals would pull in a shite ton of ratings.

Actually, I am a bit miffed that we aren’t playing TCU in the semis. From what I’ve seen of them, we’d run thru that defense like shite thru a goose.
