Inexperience only bothers me if it’s purely true freshmen we are trying on and even then we have seen what true freshmen receivers can do at Bama and Clemson. In this case inexperience is simply a lack of a veteran receiver we have become accustomed to having as the safety net (both in the minds of fans and the QB) like Green, Durham, Massaquoi, King, Conley, Mitchell, and Wims. Holloman seemed to be that heir apparent and now that he’s no longer an option people are losing their fricking minds in June which makes little sense to me when you still have another month of offseason pass skel work, August camp, and then practice with a manageable first 3 games to solidify some primary receiving targets and get Jake and the receiver room comfortable with being the guy.

This was not a good thing but it’s not the end of the season’s hopes I’ve seen a number of people across the Internet make it out to be.

I think it’ll be hard to not see Woerner and frankly swift be Fromm’s comfort zone. If Cager can learn how to catch the ball along with Landers then I’m no longer worried.

Part of what gets me all antsy is remembering the days where David Green would watch ball after ball hit brick hands and that was with Gibson and Brown. Granted I think Fred Gibson is incredibly overrated but anyway...

Hard to judge what is reasonable or unreasonable as it pertains to expectations for 2019. I get the sense that most are thinking 11-1 or 12-0 with a playoff/natty run. I look at the team and the schedule and see 9-3.

So you think a team that returns 11 of it's top 12 OL, and 6 of it's top 7 DL is going to be worse?

Trey Blount
Tommy Bush
Kearis Jackson
Matt Landers
Demetris Robertson
Tyler Simmons

Freshmen: Blaylock, Pickens, Tongue

Experienced Transfer from Miami: Lawrence Cager

We will be fine. Don’t downplay how much the freshmen can contribute. Look what Justyn Ross did to Bama in the natty.

Crumpton is gone. In a pinch somebody like Poole or Webb could probably switch, but I hope that isn't necessary.

I hate it for Holloman but really have no sympathy for a guy that beats up on a woman. I was raised that way. However, i was also raised to open doors and do other chivalrous things that are poo poo’ed in modern society and by a lot of women no less.

We’re told every day that women are equal or better than men and should be treated the same. I guess that doesn’t apply if you respond to being punched in the face.

Hmmm...wonder if there’s a lesson here.

Have you ever actually had a woman get upset about opening the door for them?

That sounds terrible

I see 0 reasons pickens cant come in and have a calvin ridley type impact as a freshman

How many teams on the schedule is our OL noy going to absolutely ragdoll, 2 or 3 maybe? Fromm is going to dice up teams this year. All aboard the heisman train now

You can only be glad that something terrible like this doesnt happen during the season when the spotlight is on and put a black cloud over the team

...wonder if Malzahn has contacted Holloman yet

Scooped in a coupe, Snoop we got news
Your girl was trickin' while you was draped in your county blues

I ain't been out a second
And already gotta do some motherfricking chin checking

Move up the block
See my girl's house, Dre, pass the Glock

Kick in the do', I look on the flo'
It's my little cousin Daz and he's frickin' my hoe

I uncocked my shite, I'm heart-broke but I'm still loc'ed
Man, frick a bitch!

CHORUS:

Bitches ain't shite but hoes and tricks

Lick on these nuts and suck the dick

[REPEAT over and over and over]

This is bigger than one thug ex-player who drops the ball before crossing goal line like an arrogant retard.

There is a War coming.

Don't be distracted......

This is probably a blessing in disguise.

It is for Auburn, as they have nothing left to lose reputationally by signing yet another disciplinary outcast.

Especially since Holloman is likely to never offend again and go on to be All SEC.

Either that or Tennessee, the other likely interested party with no scruples.

Anyhow, the only silver lining for us is that it will force a sense of urgency into Pickens, Cager, Landers, Robertson, Blaylock and everybody else during fall camp.

Pretty sure the Jonathan Taylor rule would prevent Holloman from resurfacing in the SEC

Good. There have been a few times I’ve gotten semi-weird looks for doing it, but no one has been upset.

Oh the left and how far they’ve gone

The bottom line is he was one of our most important players in one of our least experienced positions. No way around that. Next man up and it will likely be an inexperienced player stepping up.

Flip those words around. He was our most experienced player at an important position. His 24 catches didn’t make him all that important though.
