I haven't followed Mullen's career, but he trained under a former master of side stepping legal entanglements. There are several SEC programs where the local authorities and university work in concert to preserve reputations and keep players eligible. To paraphrase one prosecutor, "those accusations are bullshite". Needless to say, Holloman hasn't and won't get that kind of kid glove handling.

That’s all I’m getting at. I know there’s an issue with black fathers. I’ve talked with a lot of my friends about who don’t, or have never had their dads around.
But there are also plenty of people who haven’t hit a woman without a dad around. That’s what I was getting at. Apologize if I misunderstood Cobb, but I don’t think I did.

Probably. In either case they’re not trying to inflict any physical damage but going an inch in hopes that I’ll retaliate by going a mile and fricking myself up. I didn’t say walk away and do nothing. There are worse consequences than getting beat up in this day age and legal fees and a criminal record are one of them

If you read the police report, he choked her to the point there were bruises all over her neck.

Generally speaking, if you are being battered, the law permits you to use the force necessary to stop the attack. Standard legal disclaimer of the law varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, and there are exceptions, however . . . if he actually was being attacked, there must be some additional circumstances behind the charges.

That was in response to Tyler and the black and white description of domestic abuse he tried to paint. It's not that simple. 99% of dudes know and avoid hitting women at all costs. the internet doesn't need another person showcasing their self righteous opinion.

Next man up. Holloman has never been a world beater for UGA. I am not going to pretend to know the entire story or even take the time to read about it. If there was enough for Kirby to dismiss the kid then you gotta ride with coach. We got the talent on campus to take care of this. If you do not believe me you should go watch some George Pickens highlights. Has been a long long time since I have been excited about our WR but this Pickens kid is going to be special.

If you’re defending someone else who can’t reasonably defend themselves (ie your wives and or kids) the circumstances change; it’s no longer the two person scenario the rest of the thread is referring to. Do I need to state for the record that hitting anyone is fine if they have a weapon and intend to harm you?

It sucks, but just what it is. Can't dwell on the past, wake up call for the young receivers, and most importantly, a wide open opportunity for everyone.
