Low talent level compared to other positions

Not really on WR. Robertson and Pickens were 5*, Blaylock was borderline 4/5*, Bush, Tongue, Blount, Jackson were all 4* iirc.

I’m great man.

Don’t think I’m being more negative so much as it seems everyone is being over the top optimistic about this coming season. Road to a national title is very difficult and it’s unlikely that we get it done in 2019. Losing our only proven competent pass catcher is a big kick in the dick as well.

In the real world, most understand the grim and sad reality that young black males, on average, are quicker and more prone to use violence as a means for conflict resolution than any other demographic.

We are now officially criminally thin at WR.

Gone:
Hardman
Ridley
Godwin
Holloman
Nauta
That little transfer dude

Amazing

Here is some sunshine:
Demetrius Robertson .991 247 composite
George Pickens .988 247 composite
Dominick Blaylock .983 247 composite
Kearis Jackson .945
Charlie Woerner .937

I have no reason to think any of them will be a bust.
Nor any reason to believe that we can't fill the shoes of Holloman, Hardman, Ridley, Godwin, and Nauta.
Our leading receiver last year had 3.1 catches per game (15th in conference) at 12.9 yards per catch (29th in conference).

The talent at WR is more top heavy than DL.

Facing his mom might be as bad for Holloman as getting kicked off the team. Oh well, a place is cleared to add one more great player. UGA will be OK.

There was a time in this country that a young black man would have to face his daddy too, but the US government (we taxpayers) have become the daddy of too many. That’s why we see this kind of “stuff”. My daddy taught me to respect women and to respect him, as well as authority. Problem solved.

We've got: Simmons Blount Jackson Robertson Pickens Blaylock Cager (good grab in hindsight) Bush Landers Tongue

I’ll give you Simmons but this is laughable. You guys are just throwing names against the wall. Nobody else has shown any resemblance of an SEC WR. You guys are punch drunk on guys like Landers and Bush. There’s a difference between a name on the roster and actual production. We are thin at WR and this will likely be the Achilles heal of the team now.

You are right about experience but on paper, what teams have better wr corps? Maybe 5 or 6 schools?

Good to see we’re now bringing racism in this thread.

Pickens commitment is suddenly crucial for us. Same kind of possession receiver, but taller and more athletic.

Player to watch during camp, for sure.

At least the two teams that have won recent championships and that’s really all that maters. Think about our WR against an Alabama or Clemson defense. They would be locked down.

If she was hitting him in the face she 100% deserved to get punched in the face.

I'm tired of this rhetoric that women are just as strong and men and should be treated equally....until it comes to assault.

Then they are just these dainty creatures that are above ever being hit back. frick that shite.

Your name suits you so very well here.

Unreal opinion man. Absolutely unreal. He’s 6’3, 200lbs. There are ways to fight back without punching a woman in the face.

Depth at WR isn't great, but ok unless we get a few injuries. Here are the teams in my spreadsheet.

UGA - 10 WR, avg 92.69 rating,
UF - 12 WR, avg 92.20
AU - 10 WR, avg 89.63
UT - 11 WR, avg 89.55
USCe - 11 WR, avg 88.93

Game experience is where we fall sadly short, but that can be partly overcome if the receivers and their QB forego some free time this summer and workout extra hard in pass skel. Fromm is the one who can get this group up to speed, if he's willing to sacrifice some of his hobby pursuits for the next few months.

Well, to an extent you are right. But Robertson had a pretty good year at Cal his freshman year, and could do the same here. He just had some studs in front of him that were more familiar with the system. I honestly do believe Blaylock is going to be special, and Pickns can be a monster, too. Landers may be a stretch, but Bush has the tools if it will translate on the field. I don't think he will be in Godwin or Harman's class, but Blylock, Pickens and Robertson certainly can be. And Simmons can be really good although not quite as high an upside, imo.

Of course a big Barstool guy would have that opinion.

Not that all the Stoolies are that way by any means. But it’s not shocking.

What does a chair have to do with anything? Barstools and Dreamers is a song. Not sure what deduction you're trying to make about my moniker. I would say your name fits well but it's not Shit4Brains.

How about not assaulting a 6`3" man if you don't want to get hit back? Would you hit him in the face and expect not to get hit back? If she was indeed hitting him in the face, it's because she thought there was no way she would get hit back. And it's bullshite. Girls know that if they do get hit back everyone will be on her side. Because a man should never hit a woman. frick that, if a girl punches a guy in the face she should expect to get one back.

Next man up.

Meanwhile at UF, Mullen welcomes Brian Edwards, who was arrested for battery, back with open arms. Insufficient evidence for conviction (read Huntley Johnson + bags). Thin at DB = can stay on the team.
