Writing on the wall. Can’t imagine him getting any substantial amount of playing time with the receivers we’ve been bringing in.

Needs starter's reps, especially with a new baby.

Rusty says likely to SMU.

Hope he does well and gets drafted wherever he goes. Drob is a DGD to me

Never really made the impact here I think he was capable of making. Don’t think that’s his fault, per se, but don’t see this as a huge loss unless we have a few injuries at WR this season.

Wish him the best.

I thought we needed his speed this season.

Not surprised. He just didn't seem to earn playing time.

That's a bummer but he needs to do what's best for him. At least he didn't wait until a couple weeks before the season started to leave.

Unless there are substantial injuries to receivers, D-Rob will not be missed.

Agreed. I hate to see him go, but I totally understand his decision. He’s been a DGD, nonetheless.

If you don’t like competition, you’re probably not gonna make it in the NFL.

Wow, that's unfortunate for him. Hope he does well wherever he lands.

@brotherdawg, he been in college 6 years, competing wasnt his problem, he just couldn't break the starting lineup consistently, with Arik and company he was bound to get passed up.

We will have plenty of speed between Arian Smith and Burton. Drob was never the same after his injury at Cal. Sucks for Drob because he seemed like a good teammate, but he just had no meaningful role in our offense.

Let’s face reality…

While really fast, DRob isn’t that good at getting separation/getting open, oddly doesn’t have as much wiggle and body control that you’d expect, and has average hands at best.

He’s kept his head down, seemingly done what’s asked of him, so he’s clearly a good kid, but something is missing that’s needed to be a reliable threat at WR in this game. And as a result, we aren’t losing much with him transferring.

I can't really blame him honestly.

In 2018 we had ridley, holloman, mecole, godwin, nauta to throw to. In 2019 he didn't have quite as many bodies in front of him although Pickens and Cager were clearly the go-tos, but we had a total ruhtard as an OC who is one of the worst OCs I've seen at UGA in my lifetime.

Last year was when he was really supposed to shine but we had 2 duds at QB the first half of the year, plus Pickens/Burton/Kearis were all reallky good.

I feel for the guy and I wanted him so bad out of HS, but he just never found his niche here. I hope he does well somehwere.

I remember in the bowl game against Baylor, he was wide open and dropped a ball in the end zone. I remember thinking - dude, you can't do that, not at this level.

I never understood how he could have had the great year at Cal and was never able to come close to it at Georgia. Different level of competition would be my thought.
