If a player tries that with Kirby, I doubt he will be playing much. That is akin to quitting and we all know how Kirby feels about a quitter.

Here’s the latest: After passing for at least 200 yards in the season’s first 10 games, he threw for 116 against Kentucky and 140 against Georgia Tech. He had one interception over the first seven games; he has five over the past five. Eighty-three of Georgia’s passing yards Saturday came on a completion to running back Kenny McIntosh. Of Bennett’s 10 completions, two were to wide receivers – for a total of 13 yards.

Admittedly I am not a fan of Bennett but we can all agree that he will never pass Stafford on where he was drafted for the pros.

Alabama may not be out of the playoffs mathematically but have very little chance.

While Alabama has offensive problems, their defense is not very good. When Smart left, Saban hired Pruitt and the defense stayed tough. Since Pruitt left for Tennessee, the Alabama defense has been less of a factor every year. I look for a change in their defensive coordinator after the season ends. Possibly the same for their offensive head too.

You could be right in what you say defending dish and blaming Disney. My experience shows otherwise.

About four years ago dish had a dispute with Sports South and removed the Braves from TV. As of today, that dispute continues even though Bally Sports bought Sports South. Neither of those two organizations could successfully return their channels to dish.

Last year dish had another dispute with a group that owned several TV stations. One of those stations was our local CBS affiliate. Once again the channel was removed. Once again we had to go to friends' homes to watch the Bulldogs.

Now you claim this dispute between dish and Disney is all Disney's fault. As stated in the first paragraph, you could be right. However, history shows that dish has done with two other media organizations the same thing that is now going on with ESPN through Disney.

My money is on dish being the problem.

I realize that college football has changed drastically. However, as an oldtimer, it is still hard to believe how far Ga Tech has fallen since the days when they were a member of the SEC.
