Guaranteeing $100M for a 35 year old QB coming off a torn Achilles then spending a top 10 draft pick on his injury prone replacement two months later and having both of them suck is the most Falcon thing they've probably ever done.

I was riffing on the old saying.

Now he's signed to the ATL practice squad.

It is an opinion.
I claim that UGA should be able to attract better talent for 3rd down.
Someone else says that Cash Jones was top 10 in the nation for his role last year.
And you claim i am crashing out for challenging that Cash Jones is not a top 10 running back in the country?
I didn't make the claim. I asked him to defend it.

Cash Jones was a great 3rd down back but a horrible 4th-and-1 back, which was the actual complaint.

I know 1 4th and 1 we ran a play on third down and were a yard short and we went hurry up and ran a play before Bama could get a 4th down and short/goal line package in. Someone missed a block and Jones was tackled. Jones was in because he was in on 3rd down and we were not substituting as that kept Bama from doing so. I do not have an issue with ay of it other than execution. A dude whiffed on a block. The fact so many keep brining this up under the context of bad personnel decisions by Bobo is more proof that unfortunately some of our fans have more opinions than understanding.

It was more than just the one time.

That we went for it fast on 4th and 1 while not switching out the players so the defense can’t either? I don’t think it is too many.

The refs would've reviewed the play if we hadn't have gone so fast. The fans in 134 were cheering after the play like Gunner reached for the first down. Might've been a first down.
It was just a bad situation all the way around and the reason we're not talking about the possibilty of a truly historic home winning streak.

Ya it sucks. Kirby looks like a genius if we block it right and get the first down and then run another play with them on their heels. We had a guy whiff and they made a good play and then the story morphed to fit a low level narrative for dummies and trolls.

My whole thing about the play is if Chauncey Bowens was in on that play; maybe he breaks that tackle and gets the first down. Cash didn't have a chance. But still I get the whiffed block. People won't ever let Bobo live down that call either.

How many first downs did Cash make for us on 3rd down? How many blocks did he make that helped convert a first down? Would Bowens have had a better performance record?

Bowens converted 5 first downs on 3rd down.
For the record, both Bowens and Jones converted a fourth down. Bowens was 1 for 1. Jones was 1 for 2.

Bowens had no first downs from a pass. He had one catch for 2 yards and did not get the first down.
Also, Jones averaged 7.2 yards per catch on 3rd down. His biggest asset was being a threat out of the backfield while also being a good blocker.
Jones had 6 career rushes on 3rd and 3 or less and you are gonna love this… in those 6 carries, he had 113 yards and 4 first downs.
MOTHERfrickING BOBO!!!!!

So you're saying Bobo has found a perfect replacement for Jones?

Do you think cash jones was top 10 player in the country for his role at UGA?
In his career (5 seasons), he converted a first down 7 times when it was third down.

I do not know if he was top 10. I know he has 2 natty rings and was 4 for 6 on running for a 1st down when in 3rd and 3 or less.

Maybe Cash can play QB.
Who would have ever thought that Penix and Tua would both be injured? Nobody could’ve predicted that would happen.
