The obvious no is too simple for you?
Lol

The irony is that I love cash jones.
I remember "stealing him" out of Texas.

A football team needs guys like him all over the roster.
My issue is the positional drop-off from Cook and McIntosh. And that is on the coaches. No down is more important than red zone snaps and third downs. It is akin to pulling Gunner Stockton off the field in the red zone for Faton Bauta or JTIII.

I name 10 running backs, then what do you give me?

Maybe Cash can play QB.

Who would have ever thought that Penix and Tua would both be injured? Nobody could’ve predicted that would happen.

He couldn't have possibly done worse than Cooper Rush did today. Holy hell that was atrocious.

I think you would struggle to find 10 who had better running stats on 3rd and less than 3.

I doubt it.

But there is no reason to do the research. It is funny that multiple dawgrant posters are defending the notion that Cash Jones is top 10 in the country in anything.

Seriously. Rose colored glasses.

We saw cash for 5 years. I love cash. But seriously. There is no reason for this level of homerism.

SO, you can’t find 10 3rd down running backs who had better rushing stats on 3rd and 3 or less than Cash in that scenario? Its going to be difficult.

He was 4 for 6 on getting a first down and averaged 20 yards a carry. He was proving people wrong then.

Why do some people want to crap on a kid that loves the same university that we all love and root for? Cash was and is a great football player. You don’t get the opportunities he’s gotten if he isn’t a good football player. I personally want all our players to have great NFL careers and make a roster. Sometimes it doesn’t work out but I’ll never understand the bad mouthing of a player like Cash. It’s a great story and something as a fan we should embrace and be proud of not degrade his accomplishments.

I hadn't looked because the premise is ridiculous.

What do I get for doing the research?

You are still fighting for the notion that Cash Jones is a top 10 running back in the country. That is ridiculous for any reason other than his stache/name.

Am i crapping on a kid?

I am arguing against the notion that Cash Jones is one of the country's ten best 3rd down back in the country in 2025.
How is that crapping on the kid?

Do you believe he was a top 10 running back last year?

No I’m saying why engage in a debate like that and I just responded to the last post not necessarily saying you are crapping on him. But it’s all subjective and he’s a really good player

This is a message board.

Say stupid things, expect a response.
Maybe Peter is trolling me.
But he comes off sincere (and dumb).

I'm as big a dawg fan and cash fan as you will find. But I hate mendacity. I dont like lies and liars.

It’s because he was white and not a 5 star. They act like it is easy to make the depth chart on one of the best college football teams, ever, and that the coaches let crappy white 2 stars play because they are stupid. Total detachment from reality. So, instead of listening to the coaches say, repeatedly, that Cash was great at identifying pass rush responsibilities, while at the same time being an excellent receiver… knowing which way to run option routes against coverages, 4 for 6 in getting a first down while running on 3rd and less than 3 and averaging 20 yards per carry in that stat piece…. Their proof source is the time we ran a fast play and our blocker whiffed and that means he sucks, Bobo is Dumb and Kirby doesn’t know what he is doing.

None of that has to do with Cash Jones being top 10 in the country.

Nice speech, though.

He was the 3rd down back on one of the top 10 teams in the country, so, it sure does.

Did we have a top 10 wide receiver room in the country last year?

Top 20 outside linebacker?

That isn't how it works. You are a graduate and know better

You want me to tell you something that you already know?

James Cook leaves and we had Kenny McIntosh.
Kenny McIntosh leaves and we don't have a "ready" replacement, so we portal Trevor Etienne.
Etienne leaves but we still don't have a "ready" replacement. We didn't portal in a third down back, so we settle for a very good Cash Jones.
Cash Jones leaves and we as fans still don't know who will be relied upon for 3rd downs.

So far this season, Chauncey Bowens appears to be a leading candidate. He has a Daijun Edward's quality that appears to be able to find extra yards out on the perimeter. But I dont know if that will hold for the season. Peanut has the body type if he can finally be "ready". James Cook wasn't James Cook as an underclassman. To be elite in the SEC is a huge ask and even great potential can take time to develop the recognition, fundamentals, and skills.

Cash came to UGA and he immediately found a role. He overtook Sevaughn Clark's spot as the human victory cigar (4th quarter blowout runningback). He earned that in practice, and when given a chance on the field he performed.
He also performed on special teams. And his role grew along with his tenure and experience.
But sit James Cook, Kenny McIntosh, and Trevor Etienne alongside Cash Jones and tell me which one is different. Which one is closer to the Peter principle?
