After the SCAR game, yes. There's a long way to go but we've pulled ahead for the time being.

Brown Sharpe and Evans are all strong UGA leans also according to 24/7.

Not at all surprised like I said a couple weeks ago I think he goes to UGA. He likes Bama but pull to stay close is too heavy for him IMO

Evans will be a tooth and nail fight though to the finish IMO

He has A LOT of pressure to go to AU OR stay in state

He likes UGA a lot but the pressure for a good player like him as a AU legacy to go there is heavy right now

I honestly have no clue who Carter ends up with but I do hear that we lead, I just stress the "at the moment". As Bucc said, it will be a fight to get Evans out of state; same can be said for Sharp, even though we're trending big time with him.

Brown looks to be as good as ours, but I question his motor an heart. He has a lot of talent but takes plays off and doesn't hustle when the play goes away from him.

I think it isn't a surprise that he is kind of all over the place, the Clempsuck game was an emotional atmosphere and victory so he sort of got swept up in that and put them up there

As time goes on Bama and UGA will be the final 2 I feel like, he reminds me a bit of Nkemdiche (without the hanger-on teammates and older brother who wouldn't have qualified at any other SEC school ) meaning UGA is always in the back of his mind regardless of how high emotional wise he gets on trips (the reason why tOSU still is up there CUM basically is stalking him that is the level he has taken it too )

UGA needs him a lot more & I think he knows that and will pick them in the end

What players and positions are left on our list, and how would you rank the likelihood of each that we get them to Athens?

Percentages are just based on what I've read on the sites. I am certainly no expert.

I'm thinking we take only up to 6 more commits.

We have room for 3 OLBs, but any 2 of the three we're still "in" on would suit me just fine.

If we don't get Raekwon, we're done at ILB with Dukes, and we'll be fine at the position.

I think we're done at OL, unless Sharpe decides to come to Athens.

We're done at DL unless Shaw, as is likely, comes to us.

I like our chances at WR as is, but we'll take Malone in a heartbeat if he wants to commit.

I'm thinking we need 1 or 2 more DBs, and if we miss on Smith or Webster, we may offer an up and coming senior DB like the Sanders kid.

I'm thinking we'll end up with 20 qualifiers and 2 or 3 borderline commits, and for the first time in years, we may have to scramble to find spots on the roster.

Anyway, here's my very uninformed but hopeful ranking of likely commits among the guys we're still after.

OLB Brown 90%
DL Shaw 75%
OLB Carter 70%
CB Webster 65%
OLB Evans 60%
WR Malone 50%
DB DJ Smith 45%
OT Sharpe 40%
ILB McMillan 30%
ATH/DB Winfree 25%

Do you know of any other 2014 candidates?

Any ranking disagreements?

Closer to 5%. I'm surprised he hasn't committed to UT yet.

Did he commit elsewhere?

Take us off his short list?

We still in it for DJ Smith?

Any other DBs?

No but he's a heavy Ole Miss lean

We're probably 3rd, but that's as good as 10th in this case

If we push and he's open to safety, yes.

Juwann Winfree. Another to keep an eye on is Mike Rogers, who we haven't offered yet.

Some other DBs could show more interest down the line as well.

They might be full at DB. I think UGA has a shot along with Clemson if we can convince him that safety is the right position for him. He reminds me of Chaz Elder a few years ago.

Bo Scarborough (ATH/RB, IMG Academy, Bradenton, FL) is currently committed to Bama, but will be taking all 5 OVs, one of which will be Athens.

Well if they can pull Sharpe, Sims, and convince Baker to switch to tackle then that sets up well for the LT position.

3 guys each with a high ceiling. Better than putting all your eggs in one basket.

thanks for the response

is there any chatter on the Sanders kid ... isn't he a teammate of someone committed to us or that we're recruiting?

have you heard or seen anything on him?
