It's still standing, but looks sketchy. So sounds like this isn't something that makes sense to rely on.
Since hotels in high demand periods require non-refundable purchases these days, was just curious if there was a website that offers that service. Can't imagine i'm the only person that has been stuck with a $600 hotel room and couldn't get a refund or got a last minute ticket to a game and wants a good place to stay...there's a reason secondary markets for game tickets exist.

But sounds like there isn't anything out there. Which is fine.
Anyone have any success with a secondary market purchase for hotel rooms? My plans have a habit of changing extremely short term so being able to sell my current hotel room purchases or buy someone elses who is in the same situation would be useful. Any advice or recs would be appreciated.
Insane highlight and great prospect. Definitely see how talented.

His QB runs remind me of Matt Jones a bit from Arkansas. He looks like he's in slow motion, but he's faster than everyone on the field.
Been a while since I posted in here. Been looking at the recent recruiting bellyaching and felt the need to chime in.

If you look at the historical rankings for UGA recruiting, the biggest impact guys aren't typically the top 20 (aside from Jalen Carter) over past couple years. It's the guys that are 20 - 200 that we do a good job of evaluating and developing. So when people inevitably flip, we lose out, etc...as long as we end up in top 3-4 as a team, I like our shots in developing and elevating our players.

Basically...we will evolve to make sure we get future top 20 players with $$$$$$. But more importantly, barely anyone has developed the culture and development pipeline to turn them into monsters like we have, so rivals getting these players doesn't mean they will be the players they are with us.

If we lose the next big recruiting battles then I'll be pissed, but I'm confident we will figure it out as a team as long at the group is still in top 3/4.

TLDR: Sky isn't falling. I'm not worried. In Kirby we trust.
Biggest difference:

UGA won as a team with a walk-on as QB with the nickname of "the mailman"

Chiz and O won NCs with heisman trophy winners.

One of these is not like the others.

I'm not saying I agree with people regarding concerns. But Trent Dilfer won a superbowl 35 with the Ravens...A great defense can do wonders for offensive statistics and W/Ls

I get he has experience but so do hookers who frick 100's of dudes.....doesn't mean they are good at it.

But after dude 10, you probably get enough feedback that you know what you're good at and what you're not....which is what we know at this point. Better than a total question mark.

So what you're saying is you are chicken shite, since that means exactly nothing. Who the frick would ban bet 100 yards on a freshman TE in a single game.

Guy wants to do a ban bet when he started posting this month? Screams alter or someone who will just create one after he loses. :banghead:
All depends on SOS and how OOC opponents perform. As an example, if the question is Bama, UGA, or Clemson all with 1 loss, it's easier to choose UGA than Bama. If the east is total dogshit, A&M and Ole Miss are top 15 caliber, and Clemson loses to Miami, then I'd say that Bama may get the 4 seed over UGA. I think all these things would have to happen because it's hard to put anyone in the playoff that lost their last game.

All depends on what else happens outside of those three teams control.
Worrying about decommitments in June is silly. Whether they decommit in public or not they're all being actively recruited. I for one am glad the decommits are this early.

We win during the year and things will take care of themselves. Our bagman hasn't failed yet....I'm not going to doubt him until he does.
Yes. 2006ish time frame. There were other "personalities" in Athens around that time frame as well that would say/do some crazy shite, but Rack Em was a special one.

From a former lurker turned poster turned lurker....thank you for your service in this endeavor.
This is so fricking old. We were 1 throw away from a Natty in past 4 years and made 1-2 QB decision mistakes that probably cost us another shot or two at another. If Kirby figures out how to play the best players, we will start achieving on par with programs like Clemson and Bama. If we don't, then we will be a flash in the pan every 4 years or so. It's not that hard to understand.
Guy is just insufferable. We were one play away from a NC multiple times in past decade. Doesn't matter if we had one or two more five stars and the big time players also weren't necessarily the biggest contributors in those games. To act like we have to be in the top 2-3 each year to win a NC is asinine. We've been #1 recruiting class multiple times and have lost multiple times. Sometimes you just need experience and time to get to the top of the mountain. See Clemson.

Grow up.
Y'all should know that your best shot against us is to put in your backup QB....#Iscurred
UGA recruiting classes according to 247

2017: 3
2018: 1
2019: 2
2020: 1

Calling it a decline when we are coming off the #1 ranked class and 2020 Cfball hasn't started is a bit of a stretch...even by chicken little standards.

I love the "fraud as head coach" line as well. If predictable 10+ win seasons in the SEC, SEC East champs, SEC champions, one snap away from NC, and four straight top 5 recruiting classes is being a "fraud"....then I'm good with Bernie Madoff as our HC.
Since it's called the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry, wouldn't the Deep South be the category for which schools apply (to include Ole Miss & Arkansas) and the "Oldest" would qualify which rivalry is truly the Deep South's Oldest?

Ole Miss vs Arkansas started in 1908
UGA vs Auburn started in 1892

I'm sure there are older rivalries in the Deep South, but Ole Miss and Arkansas is not one of them. Suck it.

This is some grade A spin zone.
Afternoon Outdoor Board,

Typically I stay on the SECrant and recruiting boards, but find myself looking to the expertise of the Outdoor board regarding a new hobby of mine: Land Acquisition.
Background is in investing/finance so I'm well versed in analyzing balance sheets/income statements but don't know dick about farm land, acreage, forestry, farming, hunting etc.

Ideally, I'm looking for between 100-500 acres of mature wooded forest land to be used for timber, hunting, and potentially maybe farming or keeping livestock.

So a couple questions if the powers that be would allow me:

1) What are the best books, sites, learning(s), that I can find to educate myself on the prospects of acquiring land
2) Are there a list of best practices when speaking with the seller's about their property to better differentiate parcel A from parcel B
3) What are the biggest mistakes people fall into when buying and investing in farmland/non-residential or commercial real estate.

Appreciate everyone for their responses.
