They also lost their O-line coach to Louisville. It seems like he would have been the obvious replacement for Drinkwitz at OC for the Gator Bowl since that will be his new job at UL.

Offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford is leaving N.C. State to reunite with Scott Satterfield at Louisville.
Ledford is expected to be named the Cardinals’ offensive coordinator, along with Frank Ponce.
Ledford helped turn N.C. State’s offensive line into one of the best units in the ACC. Senior Garrett Bradbury made the AP All-America team and won the Rimington Trophy as the country’s top center. Bradbury and left tackle Tyler Jones both made the All-ACC team this season.
The Wolfpack had a 1,000-yard rusher in each season of Ledford’s tenure. It went from 2002 to 2015 without a 1,000-yard rusher, which was the longest drought in the country.
N.C. State also saw its sacks allowed dramatically reduced under Ledford. The Wolfpack allowed 39 sacks in 2015 and then 17, 13 and and nine in the subsequent seasons.

Their interior lineman were the highest graded in the country.

Still think this is going to be a tough game.

Their OL is still playing, I doubt they mail it in. They will be a strong test for our DL, on par with the upper level SEC teams we've played.

Yeah our guys will need to come out and compete if they want to win this one.

Yes, sure. When that photo was taken I wouldn't have wanted our sponsors to be associated with any of the stupid things I write on here. But that was in a previous life.

Line is up to 6. I’d love to end the season on a convincing win, maybe move into the top 15.

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State head coach Dave Doeren has announced that Des Kitchings and George McDonald will serve as co-offensive coordinators for Wolfpack football. Kitchings has been on the Wolfpack staff since 2012, while McDonald is finishing his fourth season with the program. The two assume the role formerly held by Eliah Drinkwitz, who was named the new head coach at Appalachian State on Thursday.
"I'm excited that Des and George will have the opportunity to oversee and develop our offense," said Doeren on Friday evening. "They have a great working relationship and respect for each other and their familiarity with our offense will provide us with great continuity for our players and recruits."
Kitchings joined the Wolfpack staff in 2012 and has coached the running backs throughout his tenure. The 15-year coaching veteran has led NC State running backs to three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons: Matthew Dayes in 2016, Nyheim Hines in 2017 and Reggie Gallaspy, Jr., this season. He will continue to coach the running backs in this new role.
McDonald, a 19-year veteran of the coaching ranks, joined the staff in 2015 and will continue to coach the Wolfpack wide receivers. Under his guidance, the Wolfpack became the first team in ACC history to have two wide receivers named first-team all-conference performers, as Kelvin Harmon and Jakobi Meyers were both honored in 2018. Harmon has posted back-to-back 1,000-yard receiving campaigns, and he and Meyers have both reached that milestone this season.
