Maybe some of you can explain why lsu fans are so infuriated by you guys. I don’t understand it? It has to be jealousy......I mean they were this way even before you guys embarrassed them last year. I’ve never seen anything like it, but to be fair, I think they hate everyone.......even themselves most of the time. I can’t blame them.
Good game last week, hope you guys got out injury free.

No matter what they say, they all cheer for Alabama every chance they get. It’s just the truth

We're not having a great year, but generally, A&M appears to be threatening to the power structure of the SEC West and it unnerves both LSU fans and War Buzzards. Of course, we haven't done shite, but there is no ceiling. Anyone with a lick of sense knows that there are no more barriers keeping A&M from being a complete power house. So, there are a few "threatened alphas" in the pack, so to speak, and not without reason.

But, LSU and A&M have very similar background, with our football teams playing regularly since 1899 and well over 50 meetings. It has the makings of a very compelling rivalry, whether they (or we) choose to admit it. I remember them beating the shite out of Aggy back in the 80s until we finally got some momentum and beat them 5 in a row in the early 90s. It was compelling then. It is now.

I don't think that LSU fans have ever experienced a real rivalry. They certainly have not had one that is a toxic as the fake one we just ended. That shite goes well beyond the playing field and has always been an existential threat. The LSU / A&M relationship is fun because neither attempts to control the other via any State Legislature. It has the makings of a pure sports rivalry. So, we can win or lose and go have a beer afterward without either looking down his nose too much at the other. We're kind of the same people. I don't think many of the LSU guys understand how great that is.

We're basically LSU before they found Nick Saban. And that seems to scare them a bit. We've shown that we can recruit top 10 classes every year, we have the facilities, we have the money, we have the support, we have the stadium. All that is missing is the consistent wins. All we need is the "right" coach. Is Jimbo it? Who knows. But it scares them that we have the money to keep trying the coaching roulette. And at some point, we are going to get lucky.

I also think they are trying very hard to make this "rivalry" real. Sadly for them, they'll never replace Texas as our main rival. We will always look at LSU the same way we viewed OU; you hate them, but that's it. I still view Texas Tech as a bigger rival than LSU.

LSU and A&M have hated each other for years. However, back in the 90’s they backed out of playing us because they were so terrible. Pre-Saban. Us beating them last year really, really pissed them off.

The fricking longhorns have a rival and it is not us. They have been making that clear for decades now. Why should we give a rat frick about those homos?

Our relationship with the fricking longhorns a "rivalry" like the relationship between Israel and Hezbollah is a "rivalry." They want each other dead, not to play each other in sports.

I don't want to be associated in any way with those arse clowns in Austin. We're done. It's over. Resist forever.

The really interesting part is what occurs behind the scenes, off the field. LSU twice sponsored A&M to come to the SEC. We try to kick the hell out of each other athletically, but off the field we seem to have a tremendous working relationship.

Well they are a land grant school. All of the Morrill Act schools tend to be pretty good in this regard with the exception of Clemson.

It’s like that in a lot of different areas professionally. Working in the agriculture industry, we see a lot of LSU and miss st grads, and even tech guys and we all get along well together. A lot more than with the artsy schools like tu.

I honestly don’t get it and can’t give you a reasonable answer.

My skin is pretty thick, but there are some downright hostile folks over there—I just can’t relate to that.
So I’ve scaled back my posting considerably.
But I’m not someone who ever feels better about myself by attempting to make others feel worse .

Re: the Tigers and Texas A&M .... I’ve learned that it won’t ever change, and I get that.
It’s partially a mob mentality on tSECr
For whatever reason, [many] Louisiana people tend to be an extremely excitable lot who become easily worked up—in good ways and in bad.
That’s part of what makes them who they are.
Texas A&M likely catches more of their emotion based purely on geography.

Or a very loud and vocal few. Ive taken shots at A&M but we cant act like there arent posters on the A&M side doing the same.

Same goes for every fanbase here except Vandy and I dont think those exist.

The rant IRL would be a mosh pit of flying beer bottles and body fluids. Its fun, but you have to know how to do it.

Ive made some rant friends over there

There are a whole bunch of micro peen incels on tRant. They tend to get pretty toxic since they are angry at life in general.

I've not been helpful. Enjoyed giving them some crap this week to take them off their high horse, but it has already lost its fun. They are so easy to rile up that there is zero challenge

At a moment in time, a truth. It is more complicated than that brother. We all have to take ownership of the situation.

The truth? You want the truth?

The truth is that LSU fans have gotten so beaten down by the yearly loss to Bama that y'all have finally begrudgingly accepted the fact that y'all will never be anything more than maybe the third most important rivalry to Bama fans.

The truth is that LSU doesn't have a natural rivalry despite having a fanbase that has the sort of general unhinged fan personality that often makes for good rivalries.

The truth is the moment we won the game vs LSU last year we finally stepped into that vacuum somewhat, and LSU fans have accepted the challenge/rivalry hence the focus on us this year.

The truth is after years of being talked down to by Bama fans yall are happy to be able to focus on a fanbase you can talk down to for the first time since Arky was worth a shite (so 2011).

The truth is we are providing a lot of free therapy for insecure LSU fans are we are happy to do that because our hard truth is we like the attention.

What LSU fans are giving us this off season, the hate and the focus, is all we ever wanted out of Texas in the Big 12 era. And Texas knew that, and would purposefully focus on OU (aka "the real rival") to not give us what we want.

The truth is LSU fans are too stupid to see they are giving us the exact kinda of attention/legitimacy we desire when they make thread after thread to talk down to us, and they are too stupid to realize that the worst that is being thrown at us right now is 1% as bad as the worst Texas could do when they actually sorta tried (because again OU was always the "real rival" back then).

That is the truth.

Frankly I hope yall finally beat Bama this year so yall can punch up for a change instead of always downwards, but if yall lose yet again we will be here always ready to spar and take on the emotional labor that is yall's inferiority complex with Bama. That is the least we can do for letting us into your SEC.
